Is there any difference in comps received between going to Vegas with a sum of money and gambling, or wiring the money to the casino and doing the same amount of gambling? Does wiring money show the casino you are serious enough to merit more comps?

Thanks

No

You need to give the casino some action.

TIP- Find a casino host at every hotel you visit and tell them you plan on giving lots of action to their casino. Many gamblers fail to realize the importance of a good casino host.

I Find I Call The Casino And Speak To A Host Were I Want To Stay. I Open Up A Credit Line There If I Have Not Before, Have Him Make My Reservations For Me, After Opening My Credit. Go In Expecting To Ge The Best Rate For The Room. And When It Is All Said And Done, 90% Of The Time It Is Comp. F+b Depending On My Play At The Tables.....g.

Establishing credit at a casino has tremendous advantages!

Good advice!

ps- Heck, you can have a free 30 day no interest loan at many casinos..........which you can just rotate from casino to casino and actually have an infinite amount of time FREE INTEREST LOAN!

Almost everything these days is based on average bet and time played. It helps to know people who will make judgement calls and give you the benefit of the doubt in close situations.

Everything is so corporate these days, that it is pretty much cut and dry.
Find out at the casino you're staying their comp system. What you get for what you give, then you know what is expected and you can meet that expecations.
Find out the conversion rate of bets to comp $ for the games you are playing. They won't make it a mystery, but they won't offer up the info unless you ask.

Although the Wynn is definately a beautiful property I was really disappointed with the service during my stay last week. My wife had a chance to talk to Mr. Wynn about it and it sounds like we will be taken care of, but there were definately some serious bumps in the opening weekend.

The answer is definitely no.

Honestly, these casino's will regularly comp homeless folks.

That was my experience anyway when I worked downtown at the shoe.

Equally my wife's experience at the plaza.

either front money via wire or open a credit account. They like the credit account best. If you lose enough you can always try to negotiate on the loss. Unbelievable to most but people get away with it more than you think. To negotiate this requires a 6 figure or higer loss.

schmooze your host. Ask for the moon. You won't get anything unless you ask for it. They aren't going to give anything away.

The host is key. And I have found the older hosts to be better. The younger guys are always concerned about the bottom line. The older guys know how it works.

Bottom line is that they are going to look at your average bet and your time of play. They like to see four hours average. But you will probably get killed at four hours. Make sure the floor people have you in the computer for the right amounts and credited to the right account. Be nice to the floor people, they can mess up your comp rating if they don't like you. They enter the info in the computer and a friendly floor person can put you in for a higher average bet.

I don't think you should worry about comps. Worry about winning and the comps will take care of themself. Personally, I am a cash player and jump around a lot...the hosts tell me that because of that I am under-comped...i don't care though, as I'm not there for the free room.

Serious bumps is an understatement, there were "mountains" of customer service problems.
