1. Royal Flush DELUXE

Was playing 7-card stud at the LUXOR many years ago and needed the Jh on the last card for a Royal Flush. As I slowly looked at the last card being dealt face down, I was elated to find it was indeed a Jh to complete my royal flush and rake in a nice sized pot.

It was not till after I layed all the cards on the table face up that I realized I actually had what amounted to a SEVEN CARD royal flush, as I had the 8h and 9h to go with the 10h-Jh-Qh-Kh-Ah!

The dealer at the time mentioned he had been dealing for 30 years and had never seen that before!

After accomplishing that feat, winning the sub $100 pot seemed rather meaningless and underpaid. :)
ps- I did however win the $250 high hand of the day! :toast:

pss- If you think that 8h-Ah was a once in a lifetime hand, my next astonishing hand is completely off the charts on the probability of happening.

.............Sat down to play 7-card stud at the Gold Coast.

On my very FIRST hand I was fortunate to get FOUR EIGHTS, and the best part was I had 3-4 callers to the end and raked in a really nice $200-$300 pot.

Of course, the players razzed me for getting four-of-a-kind on my very first hand at the table. :)

The next hand I went out early, but the following hand is where the most astonishing thing occurred.

First off, a player called to change the deck and the dealer obliged and spread a NEW deck out.

On the first hand with the new deck, I was dealt FOUR QUEENS, and once again one that involved a very nice pot.

As I flipped my hole cards over to reveal what I thought were my TWO queens in the hole, THREE QUEENS appeared giving me a total of FIVE QUEENS for the hand!

Right then and there I literally had a 4 second flash that I was going to be arrested and thrown out of the casino for cheating. The faces on the players at the table were priceless.

They halted the game for what seemed like an hour as they called the manager and security to the table.

Apparrenly what had happened is one of the queens was ink-stuck to the other queen in the new deck.

Anyway that was one for the ages!

Get this.............after all this I racked up my 5 $100 racks of chips and left the table.........just to needle the players and make them wonder. :):)

The thing about poker (versus video poker) is getting astonishing hands individually is worthless trivia. A guy at the horseshoe last week flopped a royal flush (Texas Hold'em) and got no action on it.

Now, getting Kd Qd, with 9d 10d Jd on the board, and getting to play out against both an Ad high flush and an 7-Jd straight flush -- that would be astonishing.

FH-

Are you sure about those payouts on the Royals? Maybe that is if you were playing 5 Credits per hand. I was playing a $5 five play machine last week and dealt royals would of paid 100k at max credits. I guess that works out right if you were betting $5 per hand on a $1 10-play machine.

Yes, precisely what I meant.

A $1 ten-play would be $5 per hand times 10 hands.......$50 per hand.

Sorry for the confusion.

ps- The biggest I have personally ever hit is a dealt ROYAL on the $1 TRIPLE-PLAY..........$12,000.
