He probably means that they are a "Recreational Bettor" only book. This means that they will basically boot you for winning.

It has also been rumored that they will hang a line like -140/+130 when everyone else is -130/+120 and only accept bets on the favorite (or at least give you a hard time if you consistently bet the dog).

royal, what do you mean?

If you win while betting their dogs (not even very good ones) you get kicked out, if you lose betting favs you are more than welcome to play with them as long as you don't ever start winning.

Also they don't think much of players from the RX. Despite advertising here, they have shown that they will harrass players before they even make a bet.

Shrink-

I understand the need for a site like this to accept advertising from all but the complete fraud books but I don't understand why a book like mybookie.com is on the "Preferred" list of books. Seems to conflict with the watchdog nature of this site.

Preffered list has to do with the solidness of the book i believe, not their booking methods. I believe if you bet the Yankees and Braves yesterday, laid the extra vig they were hanging and requested payout today you would get paid rather promptly. However, if you bet screen moves and took the plus money on most of the games and requested a payout, you wold probably be given all of your balance. Many posters here dont care for Mybookie because they are sharp or scalping, things Mybookie frowns upon. I dont think this is a reason to trash the book. Especially if you already know that this is their business model yet you try to play there anyway. Not evrybook wants to or has to be pinnacle. Just MHO.

I was formerly with mybookie. If you are a large player, I would say try another book. They don't like winners and will put you on call in only if you start winning.

I use Cris, Pinnacle, and Sportsbook. All three have something to offer.

My overall grade for mybookie is that they suck.

earl, there isnt enough info to base a decision as im not sure what you are really looking for...

what is most important to you?

unique lines
upfront bonus and reloads
quick payouts
net limits

as far as mybookie is concerned, ive never had a problem with them however i had 1000 in my account one saturday during college basketball and bet every game that was 1.5 points off or more of pinny's line for 50 bucks....they were all underdogs needless to say and i went something like 16-3.....i never saw a good underdog line again.....i got paid quickly tho and it was a good experience....

Two issues:

1. I think the WAY Mybookie deals with sharp action or even just regular players in general is the problem. Mybookie just won't let you bet at all with them. One or two bets and gone. If all recreational books operated like that the number of outs for players who even just shop would be decreased greatly. Bodog, VIP group, WSEX, and the Sporting group have all managed to allow smaller "sharp" players play with them while still making serious money. If the MyBookie way becomes the accepted way in the industry, watch out because the number of books posters at this site can bet into goes way down.

2. The way Mybookie thinks has gone beyond lets just get rid of sharps. They are now profiling a whole forum. First that is a joke because this forum is made up of more than just players who make advantage bets. Second, it is an insult to players on this site to be harrassed for honestly listing this as the as referral. Finally this is just the start of the **** we might have to deal with if the posters on the forum allow books to get aways with this BS.

I think the rule about not wanting "wiseguy" or "sharp" action is a bunch of bs. What exactly defines a wiseguy or a sharp? Someone who picks games in a method other than letting a monkey randomly click a team? I can understand not wanting syndicate action or getting double hit, but to a good book that wouldn't matter either.

IMO just allowing a book with rules designed to fvck players is a serious fallacy of this site.

The contention that because the rules are stated makes them alright is beyond my comprehension. Although seasoned bettors would probably know better than to sign up at a book with those types of rules, even some experienced bettors may not read every rule prior to funding an account. Who this really takes advantage of is the novice bettors that don't know any better. If they start off getting dinged a little bit by the bad lines on favorites (which is what novice bettors favor) and then wise up what would happen? They would end up getting booted just trying to get back to even.

I am hungry and in a bad mood, but allowing a book like mybookie.com to advertise, let alone calling them a preffered book and defending them really upsets me.

This book sucks. If you win will revoke bonus and maybe kick you out. Then send you a check that may take up to three weeks to receive. Why sweat a payout. Play with olympic, pinnace, millenium and royal.

Books like mybookie should not exist and sites like the rx should not be advertising them. They limited me to 1 dollar after only one bet, and it was a $500 bet on an over that came in by 1 point. I just hate to see weak ass books getting players. I received a phone call from them 10 minute after I opened my account and some idiot tried asked me if I am a pro. how weak does a book have to be to do stupid crap like that. There should never be a book that can not take a $500 bet regardless of whether the bettor is a square or the greatest bettor in the world. no one can put a dent in a book $500 at a time. If the book is so scared that they are going to get killed by someone betting $500 per line than that book is got no money. I will say this about them, the gave me my money plus the $500 bet so they paid, but they are still shady and I hope everyone here is smart enough to not play with them, and hopefully the rx will wake the f up and stop advertising books like mybookie.
