-Got hit by a car when i was 6. Darted out from behind a parked car while playing.

-At 18 I was lighting a BBQ with a can of gasoline. I stood over the BBQ pit and poured the gass over the flames. the flames followed the gas back into the can!!! I quicky set the can down and contemplated whether to bail or put it out. I ended up placing my foot over the opening to cut the oxygen off to the can......wonder how many seconds I had left before the gas can exploded????

hit a tree with no belt at 50mph drunk. woke up in a trauma helicopter hearing ppl say I wouldnt make it and may be DOA. woke up again later in ICU

Going 90 mph with my buddy and crashing through a bridge and into river. Miraculously, both of us didn't come out with even a scratch. Luckily it was a BMW or else we I may not be here writing about it.

We made frontpage next day in the local paper.

1 - (8 yrs ago) 14 days in the hospital after a ruptured appendix, dropped 25+ lbs and had tubes inserted up my nose down my throat to pump my stomach every three hours so I wouldn't poison myself with my stomach acid or something...had 24 inches of tube inserted up a vein in my arm to feed me...they put both tubes in while I was awake too....have had a much different outlook on life since then...carpe diem gentleman!

2- (25+ yrs ago) tripped over a decorative railing around a fireplace when I was a toddler, fell face first into the fireplace, luckily just burned my arm...solid supervision huh?

3- (~20 yrs ago) ruptured an artery in my head crashing into an old stlye metal radiatior, serious blood loss, it looked like an ax murder visited Noonan's house...if mom wasn't around to take me to the emergency room....

6 years old--hit by car on a bike, flipped in the air and landed on my head, to this day some tell me it did more damage than thought.

22 years old--summer job working for a construction crew trenching new services in a wooded area, tripped over a root, cables wrapped around my leg and trencher teeth and was being sucked into the trencher, split second action saved me.

Caught in an ugly killer Riptide at age 16, second time in the ocean. Knew nothing at the time about swimming parrallel to get out, Panicked, fought to exhaustion for what seemed an eternity, swallowed water by accident, being carried out to sea,... 17 years old drunk with a friend driving lost control hit a telephone pole, split it in half right over top the car. Thank god we hit that pole, if not we would have gone over a huge cliff. We both walked away.

1. I fell 3 stories off a balcony w/ about a .50 BAC. I got a concussion and was in a coma for at least a day or so. I don't remember. I have no recollection of being in the hospital.

2. Shortly after I began driving, I took a "15 mph" curve at about 40mph or so and did a full 720 w/ a few fishtales at the end and almost jettisoned off the bridge at the end of the curve. I never did see the girl again who was with me. I think I scared her off. I now respect the yellow road signs before sharp curves.
