Are men suppose to have 1 wife/girlfriend

First, I must say, I've never been married, BUT, I'm hoping to marry one day.

But, from the days of moses/egypt you know that men had more than one woman, some had multiple wives.

Most men get married today and are still not happy, they seem to want more, and more and more,

Are men the marrying type or are they just there and have to conquer as many females as possible.

Hope to get views from ALL angles.

Dante, you shoul know I love to stimulate the mind and emotions, of course there are alot of eye candy, but what happens if you flirt, they flirt back, how long will it continue?

a week, a day, a month? something might give; what happens if you had a fight and you leave the house/condo/apartment/trailer/cave

you happen to go to your fav. watering hole and see the flirt ee, have a couple a drinks and ????????????????????????????????????????????????????

This all has to do with continuation of the species.

A hen wants the cock that will provide her with the best nest and will protect that nest. Hence, women want one man.

On the other hand, women who have a wider set of genes are genetically healthier. These women are generally prettier. Men want to have sex with prettier women. It makes sense because his offspring will be genetically healthier and thus will have a better chance for survival.

Following this same tendency, men want to disperse their seed to as many different women as possible. This helps insure their chances of their offspring living. Hence, it is natural for a man to want as many sexual partners as possible.

It's similar to eating a variety of foods which is also related to survival. Humans cannot get all their nutrients in one kind of food. If a person eats the same kind of food they will not get the full compliment of nutrients and will be hungry for a variety of foods.

It's just human nature.
