Took a few days off from posting (Not Playing).. Been lurking around, nice to see Buc's and Ego doing well.. Notice Chop is back as well... Reason for this post is to say that i will probably return to posting --- when my little hot streak ends.

Posted Record: Sides

One Unit: 48-50 (-1.82 units)
Two Unit: 24-15 (+18.52 units)
Four Unit: 2-1 (+2.40 units)
overall: 74-66 (+19.10 units)

Posted Record: Totals

One Unit: 18-13 (+4.03 units)
Two Unit: 0-0 (+0.00 units)
Four Unit: 0-1 (-4.00 units)
overall: 18-14 (+0.03 units)

that was my posted record here for the year.

This week (starting sunday), i modified my system somewhat, to basically just include 2 games.. Capping a 2 game stretch for a team, doesnt have to be a series, this will obviously count the starting pitcher alot..

these were the plays (and wont be included on any record posted here).

1. Redsox (-1.38) winner, May 8th.
Redsox: no play, series winner.

2. Cardinals (-1.73) winner, May 8th.
Cardinals: no play, series winner.

3. Cardinals (-1.63) winner, May 9th.
Cardinals: no play, series winner.

4. Marlins (-1.65) winner, May 10th.
Marlins: no play, series winner.

5. Braves (-1.20) winner, May 10th.
Braves: no play, series winner.

6. Whitesox (-1.35) loss, May 10th.
Whitesox (-1.45) winner, May 11th.

7. Marlins (-1.65) winner, May 11th.
Marlins: No play, series winner

Ill be back once my luck turns sour, i dont change anything that is working.. Got 2 plays working tonight,, all the above plays listed -- were to win one unit. Lot of chalk but they worked.. starting pitchers and situations were counted heavily.. Good luck to all...

SSI-

Glad to hear from you. I am still killing NBA Totals and my partner Northern Star has a nice run going in Baseball Totals (I may be understating his 77%+ winning % as nice, but I don't want his head to get too big).

One thing I have found out recently when using mathematics to cap games is that in addition to having a valid formula you must also have discipline and a certain amount of faith. In the fourth game of the first round of NBA playoff games I went a disheartening 2-6. Since then I have gone 13-6, bringing my overall winning % up to where it was over the regular season. Point is you have to have faith to keep going, without changing your formula, through the bad streaks. Good will certainly follow the bad, and more often than not the good far surpasses the bad.

Hope you are doing well.

Baker, glad to hear your still doing well in the nba.. ive also enjoyed the additon of northern star here...

Is he using a mathematical based formula for his initial capping.. understand and am a believer in the series factor in betting baseball..

I find myself continue to be torn between the sides and totals and system plays vs. capping.. at the moment, i simply dont have the time or desire to do both daily, im working on freeing up some more time.. for totals, i truly believe in the mathematical aspect... math should win out in the long run,

look at 2 examples tonight, i had the col/az game under 12.5, and the kc/tb game over 9.. dont know if either win, as i dont really want to talk about them (i am on the one in a delay now)... but the mathematics say play them in this manner..

rpm, ill be around..

SSI,

I actually played some seriers plays as well this week and did well. Never thought about playing bases that way.

Thanks and look forward to your posts in the future

in all honesty, i think its a great way to play bases, however i am a believer in only doubling once and limiting the number of series that you play..

i know for a fact, playing more than half of the series (15 of them in all), in a 3 game fashion (as in 1-2-4 unit), will kill you.. you must go around 8-1 to break even.

well wave, if im winning and not posting, i wont post.. cant change things..

i can assure you that ill still be ahead, not returning and have a crappy record.

if i have something to share, ill share it..

7-0 run, in this little mini hot streak since sunday, if i drop a couple of 2 set series, ill post again..

if you had won 7 in a row (not posting), would you post..
