These huge road chalk situations coming up in the two games on the board sure do smell like an overabundance of public money hitting the books. Spurs by 6? Maybe the Spurs win and cover, but that number just seems way out of line to me. Thoughts?

Totally agree. But as they say..if it looks too good to be true.....

It really makes no sense. Seattle got fewer points the first game, and they won outright! So now Vegas is giving you more points!. San Antononio or nothing for me.

Agree with you IS, seems like they're definitely baiting that +6 Seattle side. Free throws were what allowed SEA to win game 3, I think SA hits enough to win, not sure if they cover though.

Let me use my vast real estate knowledge to look into this. As I pondered weak and weary once upon a midnight dreary............. wait... that's the wrong textbook. Here we go---Confusius say.... Man who lay points not smart thinking man in any game. Better to look elsewhere......But I'm not sure if he was talking Real Estate or Sportsbetting............ So I follow that OTHER great ONE...... Nancy Regan.......... "Just say No"......

Are you saying that you have talked to 'local' books that are ALREADY taking "heavy favorite action" for Sunday's games?

If so, you're full of ****.

Intruder... you think slim is going to get a different side pounded? NO. Public likes Miami... the money will come on Miami all day.

Sometimes when DPO posts he makes is clear who is on what side. Like public, sharps, king square. Now that helps you actally pick the right side.

Any local worth playing with had the line out this morning taking action on the early number, and was taking action on tonights game last night............if you don't have any local outs doing this, find a new one.

Intruder,

You've obviously got a good local or locals to play with. All locals I've ever dealt with only release their lines on the day of the game though. I should probably seek out one like you have.

Spurs actually in a lousy spot game 3, great spot line 4. I'll pass the game.

In the two road games in Denver, the Spurs were -2 and -3. Do people really think the Nuggets at home were 3 or 4 points better than the Sonics? I agree the Spurs are in the better situation for the next game, but the number just seems so out of whack. It has to be expectation of one-sided public play. Seattle is just being so shunned its amazing. The Kings series was the same way, the Sonics are just getting zero respect I suppose.

Wil, the reason for the line being so high, Rashard Lewis didnt practice yesterday and will be a game time decision tomorrow, they have already lost Vladimir Radmanovic for the whole series, and Ray Allen is nowhere near 100%, taking all in consideration, I dont think the line is inflated. I think the Pistons line is the game that is inflated. I hope the line goes to 6. real bad line...

If either of these lines were so bad, then they certainly wouldn't be staying where they were now would they? :smoker2:

The public just won't quit. Giving ELEVEN points to a team that is 2-2 in a series. Oh well, public just might go broke betting against Seattle I guess. This number makes zero sense to me, but I guess I am far too rational to make these sorts of judgements.

They aren't bad numbers per se, just reflect how much the public is looking only one way on these games. As we go further in the playoffs all the "smart" money can't possibly overcome all the public's desire to load up on only one side.

Also, has there ever been a 2-2 Series where one team is a -940 chalk(Pinnny) and higher elsewhere!
