NY Yanks -119 (4 units)...couldn't believe a couple short weeks ago I'd have a 4 unit play ON Kevin Brown. But, I've been very encouraged by what I've seen lately. NO, Brown will never be the "dominant' guy of old, but facing light hitting teams like the A's, and with the Yanks smacking the ball around, getting key hits with RISP, he can still be a 13 or 14 game winner if healthy. He has over 200 career wins, Blanton has 0.
Philadelphia -133 (3 units)...Wolf has looked a lot better his last couple starts, and Philly's offense should continue to hit the ball hard vs. this beleagured Cincy pitching. And that would be bad news for Harang, who gets very little run support. Cincy has strugggled of late vs. Lefties. Will continue to fade Cincy when I get a favorable matchup, their 2005 season is officially over.
Arizona -1 1/2 (+129) (2 units)...Like the idea of getting Webb at this price vs. Jamey Wright, even at Coors. Webb's career ERA there is about 4.00, while Wright has had 3 nice starts on the road, and 3 pitiful starts at Coors. Hopefully, Arizona is motivated to makeup for yesterday's performance.
