Nice size wager for me on the Fathers tonight. If you can't beat 'em, join em. Called last night's final score of 3-2, but didn't bet it. Since I seem to have a good pulse on the series, I'm going back to it today- but with the other side. Classic case of ACE vs. 4th starter. Peavy is as solid as they come, and Leiter is as wild as they come. We all know about Peavy as a starter, but Leiter is the one who is reason for concern with the Marlins. His walks are getting out of control, and he's always got ducks on the pond. Padres will have plenty of chances with men on base to cash in, and with Peavy on the bump the runs will be few and far between for the Fish. -150 seems to be a great value. Leiter's walks + Peavy's dominance + Marlins playing on west coast after a late disappointing loss last night = Padres win.

Webb will be pumped for today's game to hold the Rockies in check after they put up 18 on his teammates last night. Rockies will be over confident at the dish against a solid starter.

Boston didn't get discouraged when Seattle jumped out to a large early lead last night. They show the ability to hang a high run total night in and night out. Mariners got 12 last night and they had opportunities for a bit more. No way they get close to that number again tonight, and the Red Sox continue hot hitting.
