This guy is putting himself in an elite class...he may be the best player in the NBA. He is shooting over 50% in the playoffs averaging something like 27 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds.

He was awesome last year too...the trade made him better but not because Shaq is great. Wade now gets to keep the ball in his hands more. Odom and Butler took too many shots and also had to have the ball in their hands. Now Wade has more control over where the ball goes and he is truly amazing.

I hate to say it, but he really could be the next Jordan. Obviously to be compared and put in that same class he will need to bring home some rings, but that may be coming shortly.

You're not alone with the Jordan reference. I think he has that great court awareness and charisma that Jordan possessed. The only difference between the two is that Wade isn't an arrogant prick and won't ignore you off if you make a bad decision on a play.

His humble attitude is amazing...he really is something special that the NBA has not seen in a long, long time. Jordan's abilities and Bird's attitude. Not a bad combo.

This shows why Steve Nash was MVP. Dwanye Wade is probably the Heat MVP over Shaq. Nash misses a game and the Suns are lost and when Shaq is out Wade just takes over.
Shaq/Wade is looking far superior to Shaq/Kobe.

Totally agree with you about D Wade. I have been saying it for a while now. This guy is easliy top 5 in the NBA. Possibly the best non big in the league. He knows how to play the game, and you cannot say the same for some of the othes, especially Kobe. The playoffs are now his "stage".

The trade was such a great move for Miami and not just because of getting Shaq. It would have been great to get any center and get Odom and Butler out of there so Wade gets control of the ball. Having both Damon and Eddie Jones as solid defenders and great spot up perimeter shooters gives Wade so much more flexibility to be the slasher he is and be able to kick out for 3's if need be.

Shaq is and should be the 2nd option for this team.

This team has everything and has to be the favorite to win it all at this point.

If you can redo the 2003 draft again what order would you put LBJ, Wade, Melo, and Bosh....forget about Darko in my opinion it would go like this

1. LBJ
2. Wade
3. Bosh
4. Melo

That draft is bound to be the best in this decade.

I think when years go by and We look back on the draft, Wade will be the class of the draft , not Lebron James. Like Magic Johnson, Jordan, and Montana, some know what it takes to win the big games. Wade stepping up while Shaq is out reminds me of when Magic played Center when Jabbar was out in the final game and scored 42 points and dominated the game to win an NBA Championship for the Lakers. As Nat King Cole would say that game was " Unforgetable "

d wade is great but hes not even in the same class as jordan.none of these modern day guys are even close.its one thing to put up the numbers but its another to have the presence jordan had on the court.there are teams like detroit, the spurs and the suns who honestly think they can step on the court and play with the heat.there was no such mentallity against jordans bulls.teams might of said it but they didnt believe it.if i asked ev1 tonight take one guy out of the nba who would you pick?i can bet the house we would have 4-7 guys on this board including wade, shaq, nash, stoudamire, maybe dirk and what not.ask that question in jordans era and this becomes a consensus question.

LakersFan...you are off on your comparison because in Jordan's 2nd year in the league, he didn't have near the presence you speak of. Teams did not fear him. They "iced" him in the All Star game and wouldn't give him the ball. Teams didn't fear him...they kicked his but and sent him packing in the playoffs. You are trying to compare Jordan's career to a guy in his second season.

At this point in his career, he is a much better all around player than Jordan was. Jordan was a pure scorer and that was it.

Again, in Jordan's second season there is no way he would have been the consensus #1. Like you say shaq, nash, stoudamire, etc...I would say Magic, Bird, Dominique, etc. in Jordan's second year.

Wade is a great player, but to compare him to Jordan already is just silly IMO.

He had a great year and is shining in the playoffs, but lets not forget the Heat played the Wiz.

I really like Wade alot and love his attitude, I sure hope he can become the next great one, hes surely headed in the right direction.:drink:

6 more rings to go and i'm sure back in 94 people were saying the same things about Penny Hardaway and we all know how that turns out. While Wade is great Shaq makes everyone look a lot better
