Tampa/KC UNDER 8 1/2 (-111) (3 units)....It's a shame Zack Greinke pitches for the Royals. Also a shame they never score any runs for him. This would be a nice opprotunity for him to get his first win of the year, but KC hasn't figured out Mark Hendrickson, the former NBA Player/poor man's Big Unit. I'm impressed with his ERA being ONLY 4.31 considering he's faced Toronto, NY Yanks, the Chisox, and Baltimore (twice) in his 5 starts. He should pitch well today, also. 2 very good pitchers vs. 1 light hitting lineup (KC) and 1 that is not overpowering (TB). Hope the defenses and bullpens don't screw this one up.
Pittsburgh -126 (2 units)...I believe this my first time playing the Pirates this season. Good spot, imo. Dave Williams seems to be finally healthy and is pitching pretty good ball vs. a guy who hasn't reached 30 yet, and is already a "well traveled" journeyman, Gary Glover. Pirates have seen Glover this yr already, and got 3 runs and 8 hits off him in 6 IP. They should be able to do better today. The Pirates would have a decent record if they could win at home on a consistant bases. They are 4-10 at PNC. They are 12-9 on the road, so there is a little talent and toughness there. Brewers are shaky at best vs. LHP.
San Fran/Houston OVER 9 (-115) (2 units)...After seeing Clemens and Tomko, respectively, last night, these hitters may be happy to see Fassero and Backe. Can't expect Fassero to repeat his performance last week vs. Pissburgh on a regular basis, and Backe has been up and down all season, mostly down the last few starts. Yes, both teams haven't hit much, but this game IS in a hitters paradise, and other than a guy named Lidge, both bullpens are spotty at times.
