Face it guys, the Yankees will not only make the playoffs as a wild card team, but of course will inevitably win the East by about 5 or 6 games!!

Can someone figure out their magic number for me???

By the way, I am not even a Yankees fan, but i Know the truth when I see it coming!!!

A 2 or 3 game losing streak and all the haters will be back cluttering the forums with Yankees suck and Yankees are old threads. By the way, where have they all gone? Must be having computer problems.

You can talk about the Red Sox all you want, but Baltimore is currently leading the division.

Baltimore is a decent team. Even if they don't hold on to the division lead, they'll fight tooth and nail for the Wild Card.

im a boston fan but we knew this when they were 8-19 or whatever it was.bottom line boston and the yanks are both over a 100 wins for the year and they will battle in the american league and whoever wins will win the world series.no reason to mention the yanks anymore even if they lose 10 in a row now they will have 100 wins as will the sox.good luck all.

Neither one of those teams will get to 100 wins. To much competition even in their own Division. Any team in Baseball coiuld get well playing Seattle and oakland 4 straight series.Nothing has changed my mind, the yankees are not a WS team, to many holes

Yankees and Red Sox will be hard pressed to get to 100 wins this year...

The Yankees with that pitching staff will be hard pressed to have a over .500 record in their own division...

Yes they have looked great against Oakland and Seattle at home and now at Oakland....When they go back to playing the A.L. East they will struggle once again because that pitching staff is old and past their prime...

Oakland can't get out of their own way at the plate and Seattle has hitters but they have not been scoring runs...

Notice that i never said that they would get 100 wins, I just said that they would win their division. In the end, Baltimore will win NO more than 86 games or so, probably less. Yanks will win 98 I think

By the way, the magic number is now down to 72 with this Yankee win tonight along with the Red Sox loss

Mind explaining how the Yankee magic number is down to 72 ? They have only played 39 games so far so they still have 123 games left and they are 5 games behind Baltimore and 2 behind Boston. :monsters-
