This is a hard question to answer. Most of the time 1 teams stands out over another when a HOFer plays for multiple teams. Maddox started his career with Chicago. He had a solid start there. Then he goes to atlanta in his prime, and was lights out.
Now hes back in Chicago again. If Maddox would have signed with anyone other team other than the Cubs in his last contract, the Braves would have been a lock for his HOF hat. But now im not so sure. This could go either way.

I would have to say ATL easily at this point. Cy young awards were all credited there. However if he can regain that dominant pitcher status again & perhaps make it to the World Series with a cubs squad I could see it differently.

He won his first Cy Young with the Cubs and the time spent with each team will end up being close but I still think he will go in as a Brave.

I fear you are right chop, he will go in as a Brave....but my heart would sure like him to go in as a cubbie....

Alot could change if a turnaround comes this year, and they go far.....

He might pitch one more year, but i would say that is it...

Never thought about it. In my mind I always think of him as a Brave.

I too think he goes in as a Brave. I think most remember him as a Brave because of the big 3 they had with him, Glavine, and Smoltz.

It would be outrageous if he were go to into the HOF as a Cub and not a Brave. Most all of his success, both as a pitcher and general team success, has been with the Braves. He achieved truly HOF status as a Brave, not a Cub. I really hope he decides to go in as a Brave, because you'll be hard-pressed to find a baseball fan who thinks of him as a Cub over his career.

If team sucess was the factor, Roger Cleamens whould get in as a Yankee. We all know hes going in as a Redsock.

Maddox has done some very good things in Chicago. He won a Cy Young. Won well over 100 games. Also won his 300th game as a Cub. Very close call.

Braves, 10 seasons vs 8 seasons, 3 cy youngs vs 1 cy young, 64% of his wins as a Brave, 10 playoff appearances w/ World Series Ring vs 1 playoff appearance w/ no Ring.

Maddox - I would say LA Xtreme, he had a decent year with them, but I can see those who would say Steelers.

Maddux - I would have to side with the Braves.

Just messin' with ya Chop.

Side note: No way in hell Tommy Maddox makes the Hall of Fame.

The HOF decides which cap the player wears, not the player himself. The player can tell them what he prefers, but in the end it's the HOF's decision. That's why Wade Boggs won't be in there with a Devil Ray cap.
