Man, this guy can get on my nerves when he commentates, especially with that damn "Throw it down, big man!" crap he is always yelling, but i would have to say he knows his basketball, and i respected that (kinda like Vitale, irritating, but knowledgeable)...

However, he might have just made the stupidest comment i ever heard, while trying to TOUT the Pistons....

Walton says he is surprised by how good the Pacers are doing because THERE IS NO PLAYER ON THE PACERS THAT COULD START FOR THE WORLD CHAMPION PISTONS.....:finger:

Guess the Pistons would just put Oneal and Jackson and Artest on the bence for the season, they probably wouldnt want a healthy Tinsley at point guard either.....Only one that might not, is Reggie, and thats solely due to age, he is a better shooter than anyone on the Pistons, and that includes Rasheed and Tayshaun, and Rip.....overall better shooter, only one maybe as good a pure shooter as Reggie, is Billups......

But what a stupid comment....You can say that OVERALL the Pistons are a better team, have a better starting 5, etc....but to say NO PACER could start for Detroit, is a F****** Joke....

He really is brutal and I am not sold that he really is all that knowledgeable about basketball. I have had to listen to him as a Clipper announcer for too long and love the fact that bigger networks take up most of his time now.

in my opinion he is totally right....none of the pacer players would start for detroit.....the only one who would have a chance would be o'neal but he is so selfish he wouldn't fit the team.....you can even argue that rasheed is a better player

when he used to do the Clipper games, he would really say outrageous stuff because the games were so boring and the viewership was low. There couldnt have been that many of us watching the Clippers/Warriors games

bill walton is funny.he says things that just make me laugh.when he talks for players and when he acts disappointed i laugh.basically hes just good for a laugh.i can see where people would say hes annoying.
