The Big Ten has the most intriguing policy regarding Indian mascots. Big Ten teams are not permitted to play non-league games vs. schools with Indian mascots. However, they seem unconcerned and/or unwilling to address the Fighting Illini.

30 NCAA teams currently have these type of mascots.

Made the front page of USA Today, so may the rx forum vote yeah, nay, or could care less about this NCAA issue.

Cheif Illiniwick (sp?) is not allowed on the Univ. of Iowa Campus or Facilities. I personally think it's BS.

Did not know that Jarbo......thanks for the info. My favorite politically correct stunt is the former Syracuse Orangemen now Orange.
