I will be up later with the next series selections. Just a few comments before I get there. I will use my personal record for record keeping purposes. I usually play early and sometimes the lines will move with me and other times against me. These things should even out and if you send more time shopping for a better line the better you will do. I don't have that much time.
On the Boston series, I lost the first game, pushed the second game and pushed the third game. Officially it is a losing series for me so I will count it that way, but in my record you will see to add pushes in round two games. I only lost my one play so that is not very painful. I never got to the third game of the progression. If I push a game one I will do the same thing. Count it as a push and play the same bet over again. I know some players won with Boston under 9.5 on saturday. If that is the case great!!!
The yankee series was my first losing a three game progression and of course it had to happen with my least favorite team the high payrolled yankees. Figures!!
If you won the Boston series and played the progression the weekend series would have shown a profit of 6 units on the 2 unit plays, 3 units on the one unit (including White Sox) minus the 7 units and juice on Yankee series and a profit for the weekend. If you pushed the two Boston games like I did you have a slight loss.
I saw one post about selling on totals, I haven't study it at all but I know I would never sell on or off of 7 or 9 runs they are just too important of numbers, kind of like 3 and 7 in the NFL. I do sell points all of the time on NBA totals.
Two other things, if someone is playing these and wants to be more conservative, I would recommend playing just the 2 unit plays. I think they have the best chance of going through the progression without getting swept. Lastly, I go into each series thinking I will go 2-1 or 3-0 to the side I have picked. I just want to get one win and be happy. 1-2 or 0-3 are the less likely scenarios. I don't know how each series did because I was busy this weekend but I know the hometown Twins went 2-1 to under, I think Detroit went under their first two games in doubleheader. Not sure on Wasghington, I do know the Friday lost was a heartbreaker with 4 or 5 runs in the last 1 1/2 innings. Not sure about white sox series. I think on Friday it was the Yankee game with a couple of runs in the eighth and ninth to send it over or that could have been a winning series (off the top of my head) Before when I played every day and handicapped the games everyday, if I won ther first game and I now play the next 2 the only way I would have a bigger profit than I have after winning game one is to sweep the other two games more often than splitting the other two games. I think this is a decent money management approach. You could then up or lower your play sizes like a Kelly criterionafter each set of series.
I will post my new record shortly.
