Over/Under: 9 -121
Reason: The White Sox have dropped two straight games, but we like them
to right the ship today when they open this series at home against the
Rangers. Texas just finished taking two of three from the Twins in
Minnesota, but fall short here.
The Rangers will send Chan Ho Park to the hill today in attempts to
improve on the teams remarkable 12-5 road record. Problem being for
Texas is that Park has been inconsistent both on the road, and in his
last three starts. The Rangers are 5-2 when Park get the call, however
he's benefited from eight runs per game of support.
In 16 innings of road work this summer, Chan Ho has issued 13 walks and
two big flies. He's now allowed four earned runs or more in two straight
appearances, and in three of his last five nods. Today he runs smack
into a Sox team who is hungry for a win.
Orlando Hernandez will take the ball for the home team. The Chi Sox are
a solid 6-1 when El Duquee takes the hill, including five straight wins.
Hernandez has allowed more than three earned runs in just one start his
year, and dominated the Rangers when he was wearing pinstripes. Expect
much of the same tonight.
Look for Chicago to avoid losing three straight for just the second time
this season as they get to Park and the Rangers early here. Play Chicago
