It was quite a show, I was somewhat surprised at some of the material they covered and the show was only 1 hour and 55 minutes long....it was at The Wachovia Center, not a bad seat in that place, great venue!

I went with this girl I know from Philly who is a big U2 fan as well, she paid 390 dollars for the two seats.

The had an awesome light/lazer show and the encore was spectacular....has anyone else seen them yet on this tour?

The show opened with "City of Blinding Lights", followed up by "Vertigo" and "Elevation" in the middle of theconcert they went back and did a few oldies from "Boy" which I wasn't thrilled with and a few snipets of other songs that are not listed in the song list....But they really brought it home late with the encore :toast:

They will be back in Philly next sunday (very strange schedule) I may try and go see them again, even at 200 bucks a pop its worth it.

:suomi: here is the full set list

not doing good at all, to be honest...in fact I am in perhaps my worst shape of alltime!

I need to get motivated, and quick! It doesn't take long once I get it back in gear, I just haven't had it of late!

Going to lift right now actually!

Looks like you are rolling De Niro, we need more inspiring posts to get us off our a$$e$! :suomi:

I think I have hit an age were i can't just turn it on like I use to! I have slipped, I use to be able to turn it on like it was nothing, not the case the past few months...I had a rough winter dealing with this crazy woman, who put a lot of stress in my life...I have yet to fully recover....

you are right though, why give back all the hard work?

I drink a lot of cokes...

Sting has been recognised for his outstanding contribution to music at the Brits Awards.

Kylie Minogue presented the one-time teacher with the award, telling the audience: "If he was still teaching, I'd be straight back to school."

Sting rounded off the show with hits including 'If I Ever Lose My Faith' and 'If You Love Somebody Set Them Free'.

He said: "This is for anyone who ever picked up a guitar, sat at a piano or opened their mouth to sing - music is its own reward. That's all I have to say."

He started off in The Police in 1977 with drummer Stewart Copeland and later Andy Summers.

Beginning as a punk band, they eventually won a mainstream fanbase and with 'Message In A Bottle' began a run of five number one singles.

Sting has also done some acting - most notably in box office hit Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - and earlier as a mod in Quadrophenia.

His fundraising for rainforests and human rights has also been a major part of his life.

I HAVE GROWN TO REALLY APPRECIATE STING AND THE POLICE :suomi: SPEAKING OF HIM, WHERE HAS HE BEEN OF LATE?

He is touring and playing lots of Police songs currently. He just played Irving Plaza in NYC. He has Josh Freese from A Perfect Circle, Devo, Offspring and Vandals fame drumming for him.

JM, you don't like the album, 'Boy'? Hell, after all this time it is still my favorite. Have been listening to 'October' alot recently too. Lyrics not nearly as sophisticated but damn they rock. Would love to hear "Tomorrow" live.
