sandiego is a very good team with great pitching and hoffman right now is the best closer in baseball. I think they are the 2nd best team in the NL behind stlouis. they have proved why they are better than atlanta 2 straight nights bullpens and before atlanta they swept florida same reason bullpens.
I cannot believe after the 4 pitch walk to klesko the braves kept kolb in. once again in baseball smoltz 8 great innings and you take him out for kolb
all I know is in the nba they didnt take micheal jordan out in the last 2 minutes of a close game
in the nfl they didnt take john elway out in the last 2 minutes of a game
but in baseball the stars go out and the bums come in and its just plain sickening.

I like your take on SD, too. Right now they are probably the 2nd best team in the NL. But I don't think it will last over the course of 162 games. There pitching has been great, especially their bullpen. How many 1 run and close games has this club won? But I don't think you can be successful if you live on the edge this much. I really don't think they have a strong enough lineup.
