Nationals -1.5 (+155): Have a strong feeling that Washington is going to sweep the series behind young, strong pitching, strong defense, and timely hitting. Carroll is a great guy to have in the 2 hole after Wilkinson.
Phillies +108: Suppan could get rocked by Philadelphia's lineup, aided by the fact that they play in a bandbox. Lidle has shown in prior starts that he's a promising young pitcher and has handled STL's bats fairly well in a prior start. Worth the value, wouldn't want to get behind Suppan on this one.
D-backs +119: Looking for Arizona's lefthanded bats to show up here, Houston has an overall weak lineup that Vazquez can handle when he's on. Again, worth the value, Vazquez has comparable stuff to top guys, just a question of which Vazquez shows up, the one that was a top ERA guy for Montreal or the guy who couldn't make the playoff rotation for NYY. I'm thinking it's the former for tomorrow's game.
Rockies -122: Kennedy has solid stuff and is getting better pitching at home, Lowry will find out soon enough how tough it is to pitch at Coors.
Braves -1.5 (+109): Reitsma is a choke artist, but Smoltz isn't. Even though his run support has been shitty this season, the Braves lineup shouldn't have many issues with Darrel May on the mound.
Marlins -122: Just trying to hop on the D-Train while it's still chugging along. Lowe got rocked his last time out, Willis has yet to be scathed this entire year. Those Marlins' bats could do some serious damage to Lowe tomorrow.
Rangers +151: Astacio is inconsistent, sure, but the White Sox don't hit for power, Astacio has the potential to overpower them, and I think Garland's due for a loss, especially vs. Texas' lineup. Great value in this play, I believe.
