LA Angels -112 (3 units)...In most cases, this would be a terrible situation for a road fave. Rookie pitcher up from AA, making his ML debut on the road. But, alas, he faces cold hitting Cleveland and "King of Gascans", Scott Elarton. I can't image Scioscia will leave this youngster out there too long unless he's in a real nice groove, but I've got more confidence in the Angels pen, than most teams. Santana should get run support, so he can go after these hitters, who have the disadvantage of never seeing this guy, except on tape (Do they tape AA games???)
Chicago Cubs -1 1/2 (+115) (2 units)....Prior looks like he's finding his rhythm and has recovered nicely from that nightmare 5th in inning in Houston a couple weeks back. The Pirates have won 2 straight at home, but are still only hitting .224 at PNC. Fogg has historically been touched up by the Cubbies (6.98 era last yr in 6 starts). Cubs need to pick up the pace before STL runs away and hides in the Central.
ST Louis -116...(2 units)...This would be 3 units if not for the Phils batters past success vs. Suppan. Suppan has been one of the best pitchers on the road in the ML in the past year and a half, and the Cards are 12-4 away from Busch. This is could be a rough stretch for Lidle, who gets the Cards tonight, then Baltimore next time out. I do like the way the Phils are hitting right now. But their bullpen has been horrible, and STL's pen has been VERY good the past week, and with Izzy back, everyone can go back to their original roles.
