I have a power rating system that ive been using for years that shows tremendous line value on this game. Its a big dog, just because it has line value does not mean its going to win. But over the course of the season if you keep taking the teams with the value, you will come out ahead.

Adding Bosten -147 listed.

I hate to do this its the first time all season I have done this, and I hate myself for it. Did not want to do this, but I have to today. Im going against my Braves here. Its too good to pass up.

Padres -127 127 for 100 This really should be a 3 unit play.

The Braves have always struggled at on the road against the Padres, and the Braves are also one of the worst teams in the majors in day games in the last 2 seasons. Add the fact that the line value favors the Padres. Sometimes you have to separtate your head from your heart. I only put 1 unit on this game, so I can be happy no matter what. Its a win win for me.

I think the Yankees get #11 tonight with Mussina pitching.
Mussina pitches very well against Seattle.

I am not railing on your Seattle pick. I know the Yanks will lose soon, but I cannot see it is against Moyer. 7 out of the 9 starters for the Yanks have hit over .300 in their careers against him. Sheffield is hitting almost .600 against him. That is scary. Am I missing something? They just seem to pound him every time they face him.

2-2 +140.00 so far. Going ahead and counting St Louis as a win. Will be gone for the rest of the night. If St Louis loses LOL I will correct my record.

The reason im taking Seatle and any other pick I play besides totals is simple line value. I have a line of my own, and match it up against the true line. Whatever games has the most difference is a play. This does not mean Seatle will win the game, it just means im on the right side of the value. If you do this all year long you are going to have a solid season.

I, too, think that the line is off in this game. I think this game is a little more even and there is definitely value by taking the Mariners at that price and way too steep to play the Yankees at their price in this situation.

I can't bet against the Yankees at this point though. They are white hot, and I don't make any extra money with the books if I pick when their streak ends. I personally parlayed the Yankees with the Orioles to get a better price for them. I don't like laying anything more than -160. I do, however, think if anyone will end the Yankees streak, this is a good game for it. Moyer is a soft lefty and will give the Yankees a different look. He pitches well at home, and the Yankees have a right handed hitting lineup. On the surface that seems like it's trouble for Moyer, but he's a changeup pitcher, and a lefty pitcher doesn't throw changeups to lefty hitters. Only righty hitters. So it plays well for Moyer. Even his batting average against him stats reflect this as lefties are hitting him better than righties. But I'm not betting against the Yanks until they prove otherwise.

I hate 4-0 first innings, but I would not count the money just yet. Seatle will score some runs tonight. I just hope Moyer can settle down. Moyer has alot of Tom Glavine in him. Hes a lefty that pitches the corners. It takes him a little while to see what the umpires are willing to give him. This will not be a blowout.
