With all of the talk about Steroids, one sport that has dodged it , so far, is golf. I am convinced that Steroids are being used in Professional Golf. The idea that Roids just ad bulk have been debunked by all of the Pitchers that have recently been tested positive ( About half of the violations in the Minors were Pitchers).

I don't know who is using them, but I am convinced that they exist on the PGA, Nationwide tours etc.

I'd like to hear some others opinions on the subject.

Jarbo,

Since athletes are competing for thousands and sometimes millions of dollars, I suspect steroids are used more often than we know...

As a rule of thumb, I assume everyone is until proven otherwise...

And the simple truth is if I were competing with some of these athletes, I'd do them if for no other reason than not allowing the next guy to have an advantage over me...

We are talking about big money here...

Shrink I agree completely.

How else can a guy like Vijay Singh practice two hours, go play a competitive round of golf do his interviews and then go out and practice for another 3-4 hours? He's 40 years old!

They all blame the equipment for the ball going so far, it's a convenient excuse for not looking into performance enhancing substances.

What makes a baseball travel so far? Pure strength? I think not. It's bat speed. How about a golf ball? Equipment? I think not. It's club head speed.
The two seem to be related to me. So it is certainly not inconceivable that golfers are eating roids to generate longer drives as major leaguers eat roids to hit the ball farther. Just a thought !!!
