well baseball continues to be good for the common sense public bettor today I think most of the regular gamblers took the angels and the cubs today while most of the sharpies were on the pirates and the indians. For 8 innings both the indians and the pirates pitching dominated but their offenses decided to sit on the leads as cleveland led 1-0 after 4 and never really threatened again against colon who did not have his best stuff and westbrook was unhittable throught 8 and a third innings but adam kennedy had a great atbat with 1 out in the 9th as he fell behind 0-2 and fouled off a few pitches and then lined a single to left and then ofcourse westbrook had to go to the stretch and keep a eye on kennedy who has decent speed and he lost focus as figgins and erstad both pulled singles into right to tie the game and figgins with his great speed go to third on the erstad single and therefore was able to score on the molina sac fly. Pirates scored runs in each of the first 2 innings today and in that 2nd had the bases loaded with none out and only got 1 so they took that 2-0 lead into the 8th where the cubs would get one run to make it 2-1 and then in the 9th in comes mesa who had been unhittable before yesterday gives up a leadoff walk but guess what the runner tries to steal and his thrown out so alls good right? WRONG he gives up a double to micheal barrett and then someone please explain this to me they INTENTIONALLY walk corey patterson putting the go ahead run on base who has GREAT speed and sure enough hollandsworth delivers the pinch hit rbi single and that speedy patterson gets to third and therefore scores on a macias sac fly. bottom 9 the pirates load the bases with only 1 out and JACK WILSON comes to the plate a man that was 3-3 on the game facing a piece of shat pu$$y in ryan dempster who has no confidence at this point I would have made the pirates -140 favorites and would you believe MR JACK WILSON swings at the very first pitch and grounds into a game ending double play.

so congrats angel and cub backers as the general public continues to win and right now the mets and the whitesox are rolling 2 more common sense plays.

0-2 for me

:sad3:

if we could only play 8 inning games.

Hang in there Alan, the public will get a little cocky now and we should see some nice value tonight. Looking hard at Arizona and Philly.

good luck

I had Cubs & Cleve

couldn't agree more with your analysis, except that the Pitt line did go up to -119.

Feel fortunate to win 1 of 2.

Can't believe Cleveland didn't have guys warming up in the 9th. Rhodes obviously wasn't ready, went 3-0 on molina.

Baseball is unreal

BTW I had the pirates and the angels so I go 1-1 but ofcourse the pirates was a little larger wager and typical for me I get a miracle win and turn around with even a bigger miracle loss!

I also like philly tonight tomorrow but am leaning towards houston as they may be on a mini roll.

Problem has been the lack of quality closers left in the game today. Has been that way for the past 2 seasons. The other problem is chalk has been covering all year and that's why so many have positive units right now. All will change soon enough. Good luck tonight guys. BTW- I will be on Phil, AZ, Min, and Col tonight.

Somehow, this thread makes me feel stupid for having the Angels today. I did get lucky, and I accept that. However, I don't consider myself a square or a mug or johnny public. I'm sorry you guys lost on Cleveland. You should have had that one. tulsa

Sorry if I offended you. Those were just very public plays. Cubs as a dog against the Pirates, how can you not take them? Angeles against Westbrook who is 1-7 and only lay 125,130,135,140,and even up to 145. Public could not get enough.

I play public plays sometimes myself if I get a good enough number, but not too often.

Congrats on the win. It is money in the bank and that is what counts.
