Oscar Goodman, the pixilated mayor of Las Vegas, is zealously committed to lassoing a major league sports franchise. We have a smarter suggestion. We think he should go after the Preakness.

Great idea. No racetrack, no racing traditon, 100 degree heat, should'nt be a problem in the great state of Nevada.

I am sorry, but I couldn't stop laughing. How can someone compare landing a major league team to one single horserace? What a flop that would be, they would be lucky to get 25,000 people out to the race.

sorry to inform you, Gulfstream will get the Preakness, no shot at it coming out west as travel would kill horses coming back and forth and Gulfstream is going to be a jewel when finished
