I follow Cleveland as much as I do Detroit, I get coverage of both where I live..
There is main reason the indians have fell, and thats ownership.
the previous owner, Dick Jacobs, put talent on the field, and sold out every game...and becauseof that he was able to bring in pricey veterans...
New owner Larry Dolan, has it backwards..he wants the fans to come out and sell out every game FIRST...then he will spend money. wont happen.
Another thing was all the young talent in the mid to late 90's that they traded away for rent-a-players late in the season..
Brian Giles, Sean Casey, Richie Sexson, Danny Graves (used to be good),
They had to take the last 3 years to restock the minors..
They have a nice core of young guys in Hafner, Martinez, Crisp, Sizemore, Sabathia, Westbrook, Lee
But fish is right, they fell fast... to go from 455 straight sellouts, to getting 18k a game is sad and inexusable... the fans are there dying to support a conetender...but ownership wont open the wallet.
