Before you Dolphins fans, fantasy geeks and hemp manufacturers get all hot and bothered over Ricky Williams' possible return to the NFL, here's a number you might want to consider: 195.

That's how much Williams currently weighs, 40 pounds less than his playing weight in Miami, before the positive drug test, the stunning retirement, the overseas trips, the stint in the Indian healing institute and the servitude of a swami -- but we're getting ahead of ourselves.

In an instant-messaging session with Williams on Wednesday, I asked the former All-Pro halfback whether he planned to play football again, and his answer was, "I honestly do not know."

I dunno about this guy Wil, I think he is an exception here. It probably has to do more with his layoff and laziness as of late, not working out, etc., than assuming he took steroids. I know where you're coming from, but let's not forget many of these guys are born with amazing physiques.........

It will take him over 18 months of lifting to gain back 40 pounds of muscle. that is a ton.

Not for everyone Rob.....

I have a buddy that is natural that can put on 25 in 3 months of just lifting and all the protein supplements........

Hache,

I think Rob was talking about muscle, not just weight. Adding 25 lbs of muscle in 2 months is impossible for anyone.

I think if he started now and really went at he could be back and ready by september...its not like someone just starting and trying to build muscle

Jman,

I'm not saying he couldn't get a lot of 'size' back before Sept but to make up for taking a whole year off, eating poorly ( by FB standards ) and obviously not lifting he won't be as strong as he was going into Sept last year. And his game was built around strength, not elusiveness. But the real issue is his teammates.... there's no way in hell they'd want him back, IMO. For what? So he can flake out on them again or fail another drug test?

No I don't think he'll ever be the same and I certainly wouldn't want that nut....probably was doing muscle drugs on top of it....I can't imagine Ricky being that light...jeez he's lighter than me (205), and I consider myself on the lean and smallish side...I think Ricky is about my height but this guy was as thick as they come.

</header>Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL running back Ricky Williams, recently expressed some sympathy and understanding with Robert Kraft and his alleged involvement with prostitutes.

During an appearance on the Domenick Nati Show, Williams said that, when it comes to sex, “sometimes it’s just better to pay for it.”
“I think people have different moral standards and judgments,” Williams said according to TMZ Sports. “But, from a purely … I’ll call it practical, maybe a little taboo … sometimes it’s just better to pay for it, you know?”

For his part, Kraft adamantly denies that he solicited prostitution. The Patriots owner is scheduled to appear in court later this month to dispute two charges of misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution.
The investigation, of which Kraft was a part, was of an ongoing police investigation stretching back over the course of several months.
Kraft has been the Patriots owner for the last 25 years. During that time, New England has been to ten Super Bowls and won six of them.
