ST Louis -1 1/2 (-124) (4 units)...I've layed off playing the Cards the first 2 games of this series, but today, enough is enough, it's time to pounce. Remember Ryan Jensen when he pitched for the SF Giants?? Maybe, maybe not. Well, if you do, He was actually a 13 game winner back in 2002, but has had back injuries since '03, and is now a KC farmhand, with a AAA ERA over 4. Suppan goes for the Cards. Suppan has had his struggles recently, but is still one of best road pitchers in the Majors and gets to face one of his former clubs. Oughta get plenty of run support today. Cards roll!!
Toronto -137 (2 units)...The Nationals have scored a grand total of 2 runs the last 2 days in their return to Canada. Their lineup sorely misses Vidro and Sledge. It doesn't get any easier after getting shut out by Roy Halladay, as they get another hot pitcher, Josh Towers. Toronto on the other hand has been putting up some nice numbers lately, and are always playing for the big inning. Ohka goes for Washington, so they'll have their opprotunities. Ohka is filling in for John Patterson, who is still out because of back spasms. Ohka's ERA is over 6.00 away from Washington.
Balt/Philly OVER 10 (+108) (1 unit)...2 inconsistant pitchers with inconsistant bullpens (Balt's has improved lately) vs. two hot hitting teams equals plenty of runs today. Throw out yesterday's performance by the Philly bats, Bedard is one of the hottest pitchers in the game right now. NOBODY is hitting him lately. It's Ponson vs. Lidle today. Both guys get major run support in their wins, esp. Ponson. I don't trust either guy. I'm playing the OVER and get + juice to boot
