I Do Not Think So, It Is Afleet Alex Race To Lose In My Opinion. There Will Be Some Horse's That Will Be Rested And Take A Shot At Him. But I Think Most Agree, After Watching Him Win The Preakness, With The Trouble That He Had, He Is The Best Horse Right Now. And Will Be The Favorite.............g.

I am officially on the Alex bandwagon. that race should go down in history as one of the greatest individual performances ever. Besides Secretariat's Belmont, I can't think of a better individual performance. That was something special.

The Belmont should be fun.

Afleet Alex has had quite a few races in a short time and the mile and a half is a whole different animal; I'm looking for a new shooter at a decent price this year.

I disagree, Yes it is a horse race on a differnt day, and there will be other horses that will be fresher. But this horse won going away after dam near falling down. My only question would be did he come out of the race healthy? By all indications he did, but time will tell...........G.

I suspect this will be just like Point Given in 2001 who didn't win the Derby as the favorite and then dominated the Preakness and Belmont.

Alex will have to change his recent running style to win the Belmont, that burst of speed he had worked at the Preakness, but going a mile and a half is a different story. I think a little early to have an opinion though, without seeing who else gets entered.

Alex used to lay closer to the pace, he does have some speed if they want to use it, but in the Derby and Preakness they were so many front runners, he could afford to lay back and let them knock each other out.

I predict ratings will be off by at least 50% from the Smarty induced hype last year.

Unless 1 of the newcomers runs the race of his life, AA should get it done...however, the price will be short, and AA just seems to bounce slightly off his top efforts - he's never run back to back 100 beyers...there are definitely angles to consider a play vs. him at a pitiful price...

The Belmont officials hearts sank to the ground when Rose didn't fall off...they were very, very close to having another TC attempt with a backdoor cover...

I don't know about that. I think if Giacomo had taken the Preakness under those circumstances that an awful lot of people would have rooted for him to lose the Belmont instead of scoring such a tainted Triple Crown. I don't think the usual buzz would have been there.

I am not sure Dante. One thing for sure though, people will continue to throw big wads of cash on race so to give you a little more bang for your buck if you happen to hit a race that day. Do you ever play any races other than TC?
