Can't think it can be a good thing. Some account rep from Royal cold-called me last week with the same 50% bonus offer.

Nervous

I'm a little nervous about Royal.

I just started playing there a couple of months ago. Was paid 5 dimes via Firepay but took 4-5 days and MANY phone calls to follow-up. Did get a same day withdraw via Western Union last week no problem.

But, when I called today to request 4 dimes, I was offered a bonus on that 4 dimes for not withdrawing it. When I declined, I was told that I will get a tracking number for the check next Wednesday, basically 7 business days after the request was made today. Their policy on their website says 3-5 days. The clerk told me that the website needs to be updated to reflect their new policy.

I play at several books and was looking for a new one. They accepted my Firepay deposit and told me I could withdraw via Firepay. They paid me my original deposit but said they could not pay me anymore via Firepay, contrary to what I was told when I signed up. I would not have opened my account if I knew this was the case.

I'm just an honest guy who has been on a great streak lately. I typically lose over the long haul. I'm just worried that I finally hit a hot streak and will not get paid. And, I rarely post on this board or any other.

Just thought I should weigh in here.

you'll get paid, this is just the way Royal does business.

Next year at this time, the same questions will still be getting raised.

again, risk/reward, play smart and have no worries

Got an email for free $95 added to my account. I was told it was a 10 rollover. I passed, i can just imagine how long that payout would take if you tried to w/d the $250 that you can cash it out for.:monsters-

Yeah, I hope I get paid.

I will likely not deposit there again though. If this is the way they do business, I don't like it. I can live within the policies that are posted. But, when they change policies, and not update their website, that pisses me off. Plus, when I was considering opening up an account there, they assured me I could continue to do business with Firepay and get withdraws. Two strikes against them.

They certainly don't make me feel so secure. And then I come on this board and see the big bonuses they offer, makes me even more nervous.

Firepay

I like Firepay and WSEX doesn't deal with them.

I use Bet365 and the Greek and think they're both fantastic. I was looking for a third when i joined Royal.

Hmm, I got email saying I've qualified for the 100% bonus. I didn't read any further.

I don't agree with their payout policies, but they can enforce the rules anyway they see fit. I would not play there with these policies, simply because if I want my money, then I want my money. ASAP.

Best to all

To answer the orginal question, in addition to the bonus percentage, you need to factor in rollover requirement to measure the bonus. For instance, if it is 50% with rollover of 8 and I deposit $200 to get a $100 bonus, I need to bet $2400 to earn the $100 bonus. If I bet -110 sides at random, my expected loss is a 109 loss (2400x-.0455), so I would lose $9. In the instance of a 20% bonus with 4x rollover (which is common) and I deposit $500 and get $100 bonus, I need to bet $2400 to earn the bonus, and my expected loss is again $109 ($2400x-.0455), so I would have a bet loss of $9. It is the same thing for the most part.

I bet mostly horses, so in my case, I would look at each situation as a 4.17% rebate ($100 bonus on $2400 wagered).

As for BetRoyal in general, I also have a pending withdrawal from them. Late Thursday night, I logged on and requested a withdrawal. Firstly, it is difficult to find the withdrawal section on their website (it is just a little box at the bottom of the banking page where you enter the amount and click and button and you can't even specifiy the method). Apparently that doesn't mean sh.it b/c I get an email from them the next day telling me I have to call it in between 12pm and 5pm to get the payout issued. So I called at like 4:40pm, but it is too late because in BetRoyal land 5pm means like 5ish. So they tell me it will be issued Monday. So come Monday, no money by 5pm, so I call again and now it will be Tuesday. So I shall see. I expect to be paid, but it is still irritating. One of the best things a book can do for their business image is to pay promptly and without complications. My recent payouts from Carib, Pinny, and Oly have all been almost instantaneous. And Carib even sends me a little account memo telling me congratulations and that I am a great customer and that they love me. That is a really good feeling and makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. But to have money stranded in limbo for days or even weeks is not a good feeling and I would be hesitant to deposit there again or recommend them. They are only hurting themselves. I only signed up with them because they were featured on TheRX, but they mysteriously and quietly vanished at some point. I don't like that.

I do not know why Bet Royal delays WD for up to a week. And thats not counting the people that have waited more than a month to get paid. This is a book that will stay open as long as more money is coming in than going out. As soon as they run into trouble, the bettors will be stiffed, guaranteed.

If I am mistaken correct me please, but I Think Royal is actively seeking a buyer/invester. If I am wrong then I hope Royal or someone promptly corrects me and I apologize. That is not a bad thing If true. All books have a selling price if their is monetary value & the right offer is made.

Wouldn't it be great if banks could do this too? You ask for YOUR MONEY and they say, "Sure, we'll send that to you in a few days when we get around to it." :icon_conf

That is your money. I can't stand books that treat payouts this way.
