I'm thinking of ordering it for a month at 14.95. Just wondering how clear the feed is and if you order it monthly does it then run for 30 days from the date you order? Thanks for any input.

It's absolutely awesome. Living outside the USA, it's mandatory. The quality is very good, obiously not tv quality, but as good as any other video off the net.

However, you should make sure you have a fast internet connection to be able to recieve the streams smoothly.

And yes the monthly fee will last for 30 days from when you start, but i reccomend the year package which i've done $80 bucks for every live game for season is well worth it.

I'll give up the props and kudos to MLB.com....they have raised the bar on Official sports sites...the band width has gotta be huge at MLB.com I like the old NBA.com site better than this year....but yeah great job MLB....Can we get a College Football & Baskets site like this?.....Maybe if the Conferences will pony up..even BCS.org is in financial trouble..whazzup with that?

MLB.tv is The Nuts!

On your computer screen it looks to be nearly TV quality. You can also run A/V cables from your computer to the TV and watch it on TV if your computer has video output - the picture isn't as good though. It kind of looks like you're watching an ESPN classic game from the 80's.

Do you get the actual game televised feed? Say for example on Sunday the Angels & Dodgers were on KCOP Ch.13 that wasn't on the Directv package. Was that KCOP transmitted on MLB.Tv over the net?

No free trial that I know of. You can do it for a month for $14.95, by the time the month is over the rest of the season might be offered for less than the $79.95 that it costs now.

You get the actual game feed from one of the two teams. The only drawback is that you don't get to pick which team's feed you get - I tuned into the Cubs-White Sox game on Friday and had to listen to Hawk Harrelson's idiocy for three hours. I don't know what the deal would have been with that Angels-Dodgers game, but it is very rare that any game is not televised on MLB.tv. Except on Saturdays, when you are stuck with the Fox game for your area no matter what.

Yes you get the game televised feed with the local commercials and all. Some feeds have no commercials and you can actually watch the players warm up during the inning break.

Because you sometimes get the stadium feed with the radio announcers doing the play by play if the game isn't televised.

Same thing you would see on the Diamond Vision screen.

Most of the time its terrific, indistinguishable from low def TV, on my desktop and almost as good on the laptop. Most of the feeds I've seen are the local FOX sports networks.

I also have no blackouts being in Canada, West coast, so I even get my choice of game on Saturday if I don't like the TV game. I had some problem this week with the server requesting address verification by entering a credit card which it could then not use for address verification. I had to call about 5 or 6 times for this recurrent problem but it seems OK now.

It seems to run about a 10 second delay and so for in game betting is best to make plays in the middle and end of innings.

Just make sure you are not living in Las Vegas when you sign up for MLB-TV. WHY????

Because SIX teams are blacked out in the Las Vegas area. They include:

Arizona
San Diego
LA Dodgers
LA Angels
Oakland
San Francisco

I have written two letters to execs at MLB-TV about this and their explanation is not easy to explain in this space.

Anyway, the games that are available in my area come out very clear.

Posters have said they are able to see games that blacked out on Direc-TV. But Vegas still is in a blackout? Thats crazy.

I see that Directv doesn't have the Oakland @ Tampa Bay game. Can someone that has MLB.tv tell me if that game is on that service and if they are using the KICU feed from Oakland or the PAX feed from Tampa Bay.

Aquatic:

They've got the Oakland Tampa game on a Fox Station but there's a logo shown that says Rays so it must be the Tampa telecast.

Thanks Kab. That was the WXPX Ch.66 feed (PAX Network)in Tampa Bay if it said RAYS at the top right.MLB.tv is a must now that I know it includes beyond Directv games only available outside the market on C-Band satellite backhaul feeds. Got to run it over one of the tvs now from the computer.
