They sent me a letter last week saying my info was accessed for sure. Funny thing is, I also have a Bank of America account.

How much are they going to pay as a penalty for viloating their privacy agreement? I am sure they had some privacy agreement somewhere in all the fine print.

If you commit the sin of bouncing a check, paying something late, taking your money out of an ATM, etc you get nailed with a fee, yet when they screw up you just get a letter to say oops..

Good point. They sent me a letter and a free one year subscription to a credit monitor service. Yippee.

I'm thinking of suing their a.ss over this.

free credit monitoring? They should at least give you the names of the people who stole your info or send you a video of them firing the people responsible.

How insane is Wachovia?? Free credit monitoring for a year. That's great! After a year, I guess I don't have to bother looking out for credit fraud anymore.

yea class actions never seem to help the consumers. If I was in your shoes, I would at least write my local Wachovia branch and tell them the free credit monitor offer is not sufficient and see if they offer you something more or if the just pass you off to corporate HQ.
