Going with 3 from the AL Today
Boston -137 (3 units)...Boston's late inning woes keeps me from playing the runline in this one. Lilly looked better last time out, but he's the Red Sox tonight, not the Washington Nationals. Bronson Arroyo has shown himself as one tough customer the last 2 seasons. Looks like the oddsmakers are starting to notice. He has also been impressive vs. the Jays in his career. Boston will be looking to avenge last nights loss by David Wells and their fore-mentioned bullpen. This is a key stretch for Boston, with the O's banged up and the Yankees charging hard from the back.
Minnesota +108 (2 units)...Big win in extra innings for the Twins last night. The Indians lack of offensive punch has really put their pitching staff behind the 8 ball all year, and their bullpen took the fall last night. The Indians bullpen has surprisingly been one of the best in baseball. Neither of tonights pitchers, Silva or Millwood has done well vs. either lineup, but I'll take the better bats in this scenerio.
Tampa Bay -123 (1 unit)...Only one unit because THIS IS Tampa Bay. Kazmir got his 1st win out of the way last time out, and should build on that performance. Oakland has struggled at the plate all year. Tampa is actually a good hitting team at Tropicana, and should be able to get some runs off of Blanton. Oak has only won 2 out of their last 12 on the road.
