Hey guys:
As some of you are probably aware of, I got off to a horrible start in MLB and haven't posted here for awhile. I hate giving out losers more than anything and thought I would take a break from this site til I warmed up. Well, it hasn't been great but after losing 60 of the 89 games by one lousy run, last night I went 3-0 when I could have just as easily gone 0-3. There's such a fine line between winning and losing and almost every game comes down to one or two plays. An error, a walk, not cashing a baserunner on third with less than two outs, etc, etc. With that in mind, the only thing I try to do is provide games with value and games where I believe our choice will be in a position to win. If things are suppose to even out over the long run, I could be in for a huge run. Hopefully last night with Tampa (lucky), Toronto (lucky) and the Cubbies (lucky) it's the start of good things to come.

Kansas City +1.22 over TEXAS <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Since firing its manager, Kansas City has been playing scrappy baseball and they’re doing a bunch of things right. They’re 5-6 since the move and that includes three games with both the Orioles and Cardinals. They’ve also scored 42 times in their past 7 games and there’s little chance that Pedro Astacio will cool them off. Astacio is 1-5 with a 6.04 ERA in eight starts in his first season in Texas. He hasn’t won since April 19, going 0-4 with a 10.33 ERA over his last five starts to put his status as the Rangers' No. 5 starter in jeopardy. Being the Rangers fifth starter is equivalent to being the eleventh man on the Atlanta Hawks bench. Anyway, Zack Greinke is just plain hard luck. He’s 0-5 but don’t let that fool you. His ERA is 3.83 and that ranks him 26th in the AL, a fraction below Johan Santana’s 3.82 ERA and better than Randy Johnson’s 3.94 ERA. Anyway, we’re sure you get the point and if justice is served tonight, Greinke picks up his first win of the year. Play:Kansas City +1.22 (Risking 1.5 units).

TORONTO +1.25 over Boston

The “due to win” or “due to lose” theory in sports in one of most ridiculous angles out there. That brings us to Bronson Arroyo of the Red Sox, who hasn’t lost in 17 straight starts dating back to last year. Now, if it were Bob Gibson or Sandy Koufax that we were discussing we wouldn’t be writing about this. But it’s not; it’s Bronson Arroyo, an average pitcher with average stuff and a mid 80’s fastball. In the history of the game not even the best pitchers ever went 17 straight without a loss and Arroyo just isn’t that good to keep defying the odds. Arroyo is a career .500 pitcher with a career ERA of 4.46. The never-say-die Blue Jays have been finding ways to win all year long and this venue is not a good one for Arroyo, who does not strike out many and puts the ball in play. Gustavo Chacin is among the top rookie pitchers in the business and hasn’t looked a bit out of place all year long. No reason the Jays can’t make it four in a row and end Arroyo’s fluky streak. Play: Toronto +1.25 (Risking 1.5 units).

ANAHEIM/Chicago over 7½ +1.15

The first two games of this series has been all about pitching but that’s about to change here. Jarrod Washburn has a horrific 8.10 ERA in his own park and it’s not like the White Sox can’t score. Freddy Garcia has a 5.68 road ERA and when you add those two facts together, does it not come out to near 14? It gets better. In his last two home starts against Cleveland and Detroit, Washburn has surrendered 18 hits and 12 earned runs in 7.1 innings of work. Freddy Garcia has lived a rather charmed life this season. He’s faced the Indians twice, Royals twice, Seattle, Oakland and the Cubs, at Wrigley, with the wind blowing in. All those teams are among the bottom feeders in every offensive category known to man. Oh yeah, we should also mention that he did face two of the top hitting teams in the AL in Baltimore and Tampa Bay. So how did Freddy do you ask? How about 18 hits and 11 earned runs in 12.1 innings. Play: Over 7½ +1.15 (Risking 1.5 units).

Brian ( Sherwood) : I know you well, and know you're an honest man. With that said, you can't walk in and out of here.

Your Rx record is what you post HERE ! I know you're site record is legit, but you can't convey it. If you post only on occasion, you need to kee.p a seperate record here .

I invite you into the record tracker forum. Start fresh and prove yourself ! Your Rx record is a mess. I'm not a boss here, but I say your stated record isn;t viable. It robably cheats you. You can't transfer picks from your site to here !
