seems like i'm losing the "close games' that i was winning just 2 weeks ago. I'll keep grinding away at it.
Pitt/Cincy OVER 9 (2 units)...Perez looked decent in his return vs. the Coors-less Rockies, but it may take him some time to get back to where he was, if he gets there at all. Ramirez, who goes for Cincy, hasn't shown me much, and Pitt may be glad to see him pitching after having to deal with Mulder, Marquis, and Carpenter back-to-back-to-back. Cincy hit well vs. Wash, and a few guys in their lineup have hit Perez in the past.
Tampa Bay +101 (1 unit)..gonna ride with Tampa again today, going small once again. Oakland's going thru a real bad patch right now, and Tampa has been decent when they're not facing the powerhouses in the East. Nomo did pitch well vs. Oak in April, allowing only 1 ER and 1 hit in 6 IP. Haren hasn't been the "step up" guy Oak has needed. he's given up 10 hits in each of the last 2 outings. Tampa continues to spank the ball at the Trop. Rather have the D Rays if this one turns into a slugfest.
Detroit +153 (1 unit)...Another small play, since I don't like the Tigers bats too much, esp. compared to the Yanks. But, I do like Bonderman. Brown goes for the Yanks, and as I've stated earlier, he can still be a decent SP. He's proving that, but if Det can get 4 or 5 runs off the guy, Bonderman can do the rest.
