Been wondering for ages but with todays computer technology why players cant get action on totals as well as sides in baseball? Think of the lost revenue on parlays alone. When this changes I think I should get a penny a parlay from books for posting this.:lolBIG:

The runline and the total in a parlay they have slowed down on, but not the ML and the total, I know some that will give you 10dimes on the totals and a 10dime parlay with the side...

I gotcha, dont know why they dont, because you could get an adjusted price just like the ML. sorry I thought you were meaning you couldnt get down a whole lot on the TOTAL...

Seems like it could be done using the same adjusted line format as sides do.
Don't Dominican Republic sportbooks give you action on all totals and sides?
Too bad they aren't on-line.:drink:

Rum and coke and a run line.

Why would you want action on totals ? You wouldn't know what line you are getting !

Why would you want action on the side? same difference 99.9% books give you an adjusted line.

The only difference from an Action bet side to a "Action" total bet adjustment is that on the side you may win less or more but if they win on the ML then you still win. On the total an adjusted line could go from 7.5 to 8.5 and you then could lose where originally you would have won.

How much did you make at Dominican books in the 90s when a pitching change would occur and the line you got was always frozen? Always time to get down before they knew about a change. Scratch Randy Johnson, Clemens or Maddux and you still would have an OVER 7.5 or a +240 on the opponent on their "all-inclusive" action lines..

Most bettors list pitchers. The book can open the adjusted price at whatever number favors them for action bets already placed, then quickly adjust it while sticking you with a bad opening number.

That was some good old days, worst lines you could have ever imagined and it was a 20cent line and their totals were so far out of whack that it was unbelieveable. NBA almost everyday I had 8 to 12pts the best of it, I'm not lying, back when Chuck was playing the totals they were going crazy.:drink:

Still , I havent heard any reasons why books dont or wont let players have 'action' on their totals as well as the sides. Kind of a no brainer for the books I would think, but who knows maybe they dont ned to make more money?
