Two and half weeks ago, approximently half of the nation's baseball fans were chiming loudly that the Yankees were in all probability dead in the water.

Guess what?

IT'S A LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG SEASON!!!

You and I kept telling the skeptics a few weeks ago that the Yanks weren't dead just yet. Where are all the Yankee haters now ? Where is my old post as I want to hear from them now !

That's what the Yanks have always done for years .... beat the easy teams ! That's how they won 101 games last hear ! Let's hear it once again how terrible their pitching is !

As I said before, the terrible Yankee pitching era this year is 4.36. Last year's team that won 101 games ... Their pitching staff had a team era of 4.69. As I said 2 weeks ago, this team still scares me and I took the + 650 on Yanks to win the World Series. I hope they don't as I have huge profits on Baltimore but Yanks still are the team to beat IMO

why are they " The team to beat?" Correct me if I am wrong, but they were not so great last year. they are obviously worse this year.

Baltimore is the team to beat. And I will never, ever post at the RX again if the Yankees win the world series this year. So what, I risk nothing, they will be a blip on the playoffs if even they get that far.

I doubt if there is a Sport Book anywhere that has the Orioles as the team to beat ! I have the Orioles at huge odds so I hope they do win but they are not the favorites !

Last weekend. Took 2 out of 3 from the Mets. They were over .500 before that series.

The RED SOX are still the best team in this division and will probably prove to be so by seasons end...........if not in the regular season, in the playoffs.

Keep in mind, the RED SOX have basically been without Schilling all year and MANNY is only hitting .230

When these two regain their LEGENDARY status come July and beyond, they will once again be the team to beat in MLB.

The Yankees have been beating up on some lousy teams to get back to respectability...unfortunately that's 70% of the American league, the west teams are like bye's (Sea and Oak)

in the end the Yankees still won't be able to beat the good teams, too many holes.

Schilling may be the most overrated so called 'legend' since Joe Namath....yes he's been a big game pitc her but there have been many like him, Jack Morris, Dave Stewart both immediately come to mind...Schilling's career not any better than those two.
