JOHN OLERUD now officially a BOSOX!

The Boston Red Sox purchased the contract of first baseman John Olerud from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Olerud definitely won't be in the starting lineup against Randy Johnson tomorrow, but look for him to get at least one start this weekend.

they dont need Olerud they need to play Youkillis somewhere evry day. guy is hitting .385 on the bench and Millar and Mueller are hitting .240 in the starting lineup

mueller up to .291. OK he stays, bench Millar. I guess thats why Olerud is around.

Youk needs to get a chance to play....let him hit himself off the team, but he deserves a shot!

I would start Youkillis everyday at 1B and use Olerud as defensive replacement late in games

I played tommorow's game on mvpbaseball 2005. Used Wade Miller as my starting pitcher. 1 hitter!! Also played todays game and shutout Yanks with Wakefield. I think Boston wins the next two. :103631605
