I am not math wiz, but I think you got screwed on these odds. That is extremely tough to do. Picking 7 guys and 3 of them have to homer tonight? Yikes.

I think I am going to try and get a few buddies to take this bet too. That seems pretty tough.

Good luck with your picks.

That's a great idea for a sportsbook prop. If you could drag 7 players like ESPN does those sportsnation team rankings, and you could drag any 7 players and 3 of them have to hit homeruns? It's definitely a sucker bet I would enjoy doing.

I say:

Cliff Floyd
Miguel Tejeda
Alfonso Soriano
Albert Pujols
Paul Konerko
Mark Teixeira
Jim Edmonds

Even though they covered, I thought you were going to say you bet on the Cubs ML today.

If one guy hits 2 or more does it count as 2 or 3 or just one ?

As I understand it (and am currently trying to get my friends to buy into...lol), 3 different players have to homer regardless of how many they hit. 3 of the 7 players have to individually homer.

So if taking the bet and 3 of your 7 hit, you collect 1,000 for 500 risk ? I'd rather book it then pick it.

You would need 10 to 1 odds to justify that bet.

My local used to have the "pick any 3 guys, have to have 6 hits total" bet.

That was always a great way to give back all the hard-won hoops profits from the previous spring..........

dammit milton bradley just flew out at the wall would have won me the wager!

we decided to call it a push since we did not clarify what happens if a player hits more than one homer as soriano hit 2 so no action here, I agree the odds were a little more than 2-1 but boxslayer got 4 right and had 5 total homers while I got 2 right and had 3 total homers. I dont think this is as hard as some assume I may make the bet again tomorrow for kicks.
