I don't follow auto racing much, but since there will be 24 hours in Monday, I will feel the need to bet on this. I like Victor Meira.

The only reason. I can't connect with these Indy drivers. It is not like when i was growing up. Unser's, Foyt, Mario to name a few.

Sounds as if a new breed of the Old guard is coming into the picture. Michael Andrettis son might be trying to get into the field next year. Also a new Unser too. Probably will help, especially if they can come together with other series. Its a shame because, Indy is such a special place, and open wheel racing is so much better then the overrated Nascar series.

your opinion is in the minority among viewers, advertisers, and fans of all types of racing. NAscar has more excitement, wrecks, passing, side by side racing, and a more identifiable car. There is a reason that IRL is in the pooper, and Nascar is biggest spectator sport

Not arguing with you that Nascar is more popular at this point and Open wheel racing has shot itelf in the foot in about as many ways they could. But, with that being said, it isn't more exciting, Nascar is boring , cars don't go anywhere as fast as Indy cars and if you like Car Racing you have to like the speed.I would never spend money on that type of racing. Been to Indy 4 times and there is nothing like it. Been to a couple of other road tracks to and these Drivers at least know how to make a turn other then a left hand one.

I might respectfully argue with you a little. I like to see passing, I would like to see more than 5 passes for the lead in one year. Someone running 230mph by himself the whole race, is not fun for me. I would just assume see them compete against one another at 190mph. I can't tell the difference from my tv set anyway.
I respect your opinion redeye, just diagree. I wish the Indy 500 would get back to the popularity it once was. I enjoy that race usually. The storylines seem to be what they focus on while broadcasting. I bet they won't shut up about the chick, until she crashes in the beginning. They will need some backup stories.

It is a terrible thing to say, but I believe it to be true: until we get more americans in the race, it will never get back it's luster here in america. I think unser and foyt have young namesakes that will be running next year, maybe that will help.

BTW- Hollywood has Danica at 30/1

Nice find,. That looks twice as good as just about anywhere else. Probably the square play of the year, but at 30-1 it's almost worth the entertainment.

I pass cars on the street all the time and it doesn't do anything for me. Now if a car passes me by going fast it has my attention. If IRL and Champ Cars can merge they can get the best of both worlds. I witnessed the best speed and passing at a racing event in the Michigan 500 on 2 different occasions when they were doing 240 in the straight aways, 225 in the turns, and setting records with lead changes. Nascar can't match that. Its boring to me. Real race car drivers are like Mario Andretti where he won on all circuits Daytona 500, Indy Cars and formula one. His kind of driving and accomplishments makes the Nascar heroes like Petty, Gordon, and EarnHardt pale in comparison. Just because Nascar has more fans and more Sponsers doesn't make it better.

Open wheel racing is much better than NASCAR when you put the best drivers into the equation.

Most of the open wheel racers and Teams have left Champ Cars. Its alittle more one sided now. The difference is the Cars and equipment IMO are still better in Champ cars

Rain is 240 miles away and moving at 30 mph so I seen on local news that all should be good. Should be 6 Est atleast before any rain. Looking at the traffic, I would not go near that place today.

Good luck on all your wagers. I have no opinion.
