she was on letterman wednesday (and why not - he sponsors her car and all) and PTI today

i saw she is about +1600 to win the race

good luck to her - if she won it - or came close - it would be the much needed "kick" IRL needs now since the Indy 500 has lost a TON of its luster since the CART/IRL thing

Ok!! When I first saw this name Danica Patrick, I was sure someone was spoofin' the name Dan Patrick of ESPN! But NOOOO...now we have another female wanna be indy driver at the 500 this year..

Ya..and I don't have time to look at all the last names..but how about that awesome Nancy whoever who started the indy 500 I don't know how many times in the late 80's early 90's..and they hyped her every year, that she was so brave..bla, bla, bla..and this was going to be the year she does it for the women.. and every year became more em-bare-assing that the last.

Then the last couple of years this muy joven Janet ?? whoever was going to tear up the indy 500 and I think she ran two years with the same results...nada...

So now they roll out this Danica Patrick..with softporn promo picks all over like gambling911.com and other sites..and want me to believe..she has all the top drivers really shak'n in thier boots..

I was somewhat going along with the hype until I saw a book that was offering +2.50 money that she WOULD NOT FINISH the race..and I gotta tell ya...I had to jump all over that.

I've never driven an indy car but have been to the Toyoto indy car classic in Long Beach for many years in a row, and I can tell you these cars are beasts....you can't even begin to imagine how much power you are sitting under. And a friend of mine in Vegas who has driven carts for years and has won many national races..( by the way, most of the indy car drivers and even nascar drivers still race carts to stay in shape ) he told me, that having never driven either a Nascar nor an indy car it went without saying which one was the easier, and he said he would have to spend months in an indy car to have any kind of confidence at all.

So I look it up quickly on the internet, that this 22 yr old Dancia has ran formula one over in Eruope for some time..that's impressive..but when I saw that Bobbie Rayhaul signed her when she was like 16 and that is where all the hype was coming from..it made me all the more confident I have a good bet.

Now I might look like bobby riggs vs Billie Jean King after this race..(but common' if you didn't know that one was fixed..I have some sky hooks I want to sell you)...but I don't think so..

We shall see..all I know is when your going wheel to wheel at 200 mph..it's doesn't take much of anything to put that baby right into the wall.

I'll even take a hotdog wrapper coming off of the stands to clog up her cooling system...

Point is...even the great ones..it doesn't take much to take you out of the race..everything has to go your way..

Good to see there is some interest in the race. Being just south of Indy, I haven't talked to anyone all week locally who mentioned the race. Good luck on your wager.

danica is the best thing to happen to that sport in years. shes being marketed as thier star to create interest and its worked. shes beautifull and talented and apperently damn saavy and i wish her all the best. betting she wont finish looks good but shes a winner already regardless if she finishes or not. :103631605
