Holy, there is nothing to it--bet the sides that are in bold.

You bet one side at -130 & the other at +133, and you are guaranteed 3 cents profit.

Using the scalp given, you could do the following

Lay 650 to win 500 on the -130 Harvick line

Lay 500 to win 665 on the +133 Dale Jr line

HARVICK victory allows you to breakeven
DALEJR victory allows you to profit $15

Your in a NO LOSE situation if you have placed the wagers exactly as shown in the example.

I find 4-12 scalps on a DAILY basis, some that will enable a player to wager much more than a mere $500 limit.

Assuming that every book that you have to keep a balance at remains in business. A scalp is "free money", but to really do it, you have to absorb a lot of exposure due to the amounts of money that you'll have to have in multiple books.

Hey Fish I got a question about scalping for ya, I was looking into a while ago and of course its a great idea but I thought I read somewere if you do this a lot the books will catch on and then not take your bets.

ANY book worth their weight in salt will not mind whatsoever!!

They should have their lines set so as to draw as much equal action on the event as they can.

If a sportsbook puts a line up, you as a player have the right to wager on that line up to the limits they offer you................as long as it does not fall into the sometimes greyish term known as the BAD LINE RULE.

Now however, some books do have a problem with certain players that only play STEAM plays(which could constitute going for middles in a way)...........and although I do not agree with their stance on this, they do have the right to limit your action or tell you they no longer welcome your business.
