Yep he is too much of a degenerate. He will screw his parents over and say his computer broke and slime his way into a new one. What a douchebag.

This guy really does have a lot of power and influence...everyone is talking about him and can't seem to move on without him. Hell, I am new and I even find myself posting about him and I don't even know him.

When Noreaga comes back we will detect him with his abrasive posting style.

choptalk,

Both the General and Wilheim review every new poster before they are given posting rights. It used to be automated but no longer. And despite our efforts to protect the integrity of our forums, some clever people find ways to circumvent our procedures...

However, we do a pretty damn good job overall and you'd be shocked at how many get caught before they ever make their first post...

It would be possible General. I have 4 computers sitting on my desk with two hooked up to my cable modem, one through DSL (redundency) and one offline for security purposes. I also keep a dial up account just in case my cable and dsl go down. About 50% of the time I can jump on my neighbors open wireless-g network.

Theoretically I could be on TheRx with four different names on four different computers all with different IP addresses (3 static and 1 dynamic) at the same time. Five if I walked upstairs to my wifes office (forgot about that one).

Using IP addresses isn't exaclty proof of a posters identity. I know that if you were to check Northern Star and I share the same IP sometimes. We both have offices in the same building. Since I only go to the office about once a week that doesn't happen often though.

Good info baker. Thanks.

What if I wanted to have 4 login names from this one PC I use? Can I use different logins with different windows open, same PC?

You should be able to with a computer that uses Windows XP, but you would have to be logged on as four seperate users on the computer. Each user has its own set of cookies and TheRx would recognize each user seperately.

This would be done by using the Fast User Switching option of Windows XP.

In this case you could only have 2 unique accounts.

The 3 DSL ip's static or not would most likely point to the same region of the country. Your dialup might be seperate although it is probably a backup and is registered to the same ISP.

Example:

(YOUR 2 DSL IP'S)-Note only the last 3 ever change. Unless you change DNS servers. They would still be registered to the same ISP.

55.5.111.25
55.5.111.98

(DIAL UP IP)

68.222.2.36- Might be very different than the first 3 but would still be registered to your orginal IP if it is the backup account.

(Cable Connection)

Same thing although even more definitive as most cable Ip's route to the user's actual city instead of server location

I could tell you were the same person with ease. Then again the average person here probably don't know as much about computers and technology as I do.

Baseballguy-

I am afraid you must of misread my post. I have a cable modem through Time Warner, a seperate DSL through Qwest and a dial-up through MSN. Couple these with my neighbors unsecured wireless-g and I could be on with 4 different IPs. My cable (static #1), my DSL (static #2), my dial-up (dynamic #1) and my neighbors wireless (static #3). You may be able to identify my neighbors wireless as being in the same IP block as either my cable or dsl (not sure what they have), but you wouldn't be able to link 3 of the 4 to each other.
