The TDF is getting closer and I am looking for odds on Lance's final run at 7 in a row. Any books carrying this yet ?

Article on the subject

WILLEMSTAD, Curacao -- With Lance Armstrong announcing that this year's Tour de France will be his final race, expectations are that he'll retire as the only seven time winner of the event. Although many believe that he'll continue his reign in the world's most grueling cycling event, PinnacleSports.com has listed Lance Armstrong as an underdog to win the 2005 Tour de France.

The Internet's largest sports betting site, PinnacleSports.com believes that Armstrong's historic career will end with disappointment, listing the six-time champion at 4/5 odds to lose his final race. Meanwhile, those believing Armstrong is a sure bet to win his seventh consecutive Tour title will find equal value at PinnacleSports.com, who lists Lance Armstrong at 23/20 odds to retire wearing another yellow jersey.

"Shortly after announcing that he'll retire from competitive racing following this year's Tour de France, we opened betting on whether Lance Armstrong would capture his seventh straight Tour title," said Simon Noble of PinnacleSports.com. "While others have listed Armstrong as a favorite to capture his seventh yellow jersey, we believe Lance's age, shortened training schedule and the most competitive field his faced in years will end his championship streak."

Will Lance Armstrong Win The Tour de France?

No 4/5

Yes 23/20

This isn't like betting someone to win the Masters or NBA This guy has dominated this race and won 6 straight years. He is too much of a champion and conpetitor to let anyone spoil his final trip. Did anyone notice how easily He won last year ? One also must remember that his chief rival is also getting older. Jan Ullrich is 32 and seems to be no match for LANCE. + 110 AT Pinnacle is a great wager for someone who has won it 6 straight years !

I agree kermit with the play, it has outstanding value. These same odds were up at Vwager awhile back but I can't help myself for seconds and thirds

If you guys have eaten all you can on the YES, let me know if you like to wager on the side at even money with me. If a mod here is willing to hold the money, I'll gladly go forward with it. Let me know.

Thanks.

Vo Books ? not sure what that means, No I haven't exhausted all of my options since I have accounts with Super Book, MVP and Vwager. I'm still hoping for a slow start to where I can get even better odds.

I obviously think it's a great bet as I have been winning every year on Lance but his first year when I knew little about him. The plus + 110 that I have already wagered on Lance is the worst that I have been able to get in 6 years now. I am hoping that perhaps some book might give me better odds. Why would a Mod hold our $$ simply because you have the opposite opinion as Red Eye and myself ? Are you saying that anytime 2 people have opposite opinions, We can save some vig by wasting the mods time ? Don't you think they have better things to do with their time ? :monsters-

If that's the case, then you really didnt shop too well.

Like I said before, if you've taken everything you can eat at every book offering the prop, and you would like to bet more, I would be happy to wager. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Pinnacle is dealing +110 and allows rebets after maxes and moves. Once you're done betting the max a few times and have pushed the line past +100, and would like to bet, my offer would stand (barring some significant change, ie thinning of the field, etc).

So far the line has stands at +110 and no one has moved it with even a $500 bet.

This is all rather straighforward.

Good Luck with your wager.

I'm still waiting for other shops to come out with there odds on this event. So I might not be done yet. I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight that I'm not getting down with a even money bet with a fellow poster on a event that doesn't even start for a few weeks.

Either way guys, I have to root on Lance again. It seems easy to bet against as age plays a factor, but I wonder why he would run if he really thought he could lose. The guy is a winner.

Good luck

Last years victory by Lance was one of his easiest yet and his main competion Jan Ullrich was totally outclassed last year.

Lance Should not worry about Ullrich, rather, look for odds on Ivan Basso to win! :103631605
