Got off to a very rocky start last year as they cancelled my Shaq to go to field bet and General had to get it back for me. Talk about a bad first impression! Probably both ways. Well now we are all good with each other. Although I have been asked to phone in all bets, it was a blessing in disguise. I get to talk to 6 different but all wonderful clerks, and their supervisor Jessica. She thinks I am a lucky FROG. But they are always professional and courteous. And they do their best to get me down. So for my clerks, I gave them a night out on the town, nice dinner and drinks on the FROG. For the call center, pizza for everyone. I donate a nick but I am sure it will mean a lot more to them then it does to me. It is part of the FROG giveback program. And bear in mind, no one ever asked for it, just like the Jazz. It is my idea. If one clerk helped me get one critical number I may have missed, it payed for itself. And no, I am not buying favors, I am taking the next two months off. It is just my chance to walk the walk with these great clerks. Next time I hope to do it in person. So even though we both started off badly, I am very happy being a WWTS customer, and hopefully this shows my satisfaction with the employees there.

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

That is very kind IMO. I have did the same. Some will mock at the idea, but it makes the soul feel good to give back for good service that has been provided. WWTS has been one of the best books I have ever dealt with when it comes to players. Top notch in my book.

Frog-

You are a class act my friend. Glad to hear the story. Just wondering if you have any thoughts on the Detroit/Miami game tonight? Also get in touch with me when possible, I have something I would like to share with you off the forum. Once again, a very classy act by the FROG.

Not surprising at all. Like you said the true economic value of the 500 is much better served by them.

The fact he keeps capitalizing FROG cracks me up for some reason.

'Jessica thinks I'm a lucky FROG'. I wonder what where her exact reasons for this. She could just be a really confident dame who liked your voice. I hope that Asian accent you occasionaly have was'nt kicking in, or who knows maybe that actually helped.

I remember when Larry went to WWTS from CRIS and it was a big coup to get him and then he was gone shortly there after. I'm not sure if he would think that WWTS is such a great place from an inside point of view. Has anything changed there since he left to make this now such a great book to deal with and was this Jessica around for his departure?.

Jessica 11 year vet from what I understand. Used to take BW's calls. Obviously she is good, and her crew is well trained. From the outside, they are a good book, always pay fast, and take very good care of FROG. I think my wagering is the lucky part. So I kickback the original 3 bucks on the Shaq bet, which actually was unfair on my part, and toss in a couple more for good service. If they did not earn it, I would not be giving. But I take care of the people who take care of me. When they cancelled that bet I thought I would cycle them right through, but I was wrong, by judging on the first impression. They are a keeper, and am glad I kept a couple of FROGS there. Benjamin rating, especially call center. Honored all bonuses, worked with RX on dispute, to my satisfaction. Should be a core book to those who utilize multiple outs.

This is way to encourage others, by example instead of talking. I have to defend myself on taking care of some nice people? I think not. Your a bit off on that one Capt.

Glad to see that things are working out at WWTS. However, I have to agree with Capn.

I gave away a ton of money to poor families in CR last few months. Should I come and create a thread about it so "to encourage" people to give?

People will give or not give. Creating a thread about being generous will not make a difference.
I just see your post as bragging.

Youre right OF - I'm sorry! You did the right thing, I guess I was taking it out on you what I shouldn't have! Jessica is great but others at WWTS (since gone) were not. ( All of the old Billy crew were great) Once again, I apologize! Sorry I took a shot at your little smiley/wavey guy too.

Bottom line is he did a good deed, whether he should have posted it or not is beside the point.

Let me try this one more time. It is not an anonymous donation, it is a tip for people I worked with everyday for many months. I did not do it to brag or gloat, I can easily do that for free. I tip stiffs for bad service at restaurants, valets for abusing my vehicles, baggage handlers for tossing around my luggage. They all make me nothing. The clerks are part of the chain, for me to earn. They do not need a donation, but deserve a tip. My reward, is not bragging, but knowing I showed them I respect their professionalism and the times they raced to get my number. If I could I would take them out and thank them in person. I will make a trip there and do that next time. When I worked the casinos I always tipped the clerks, and bought the managers and crews small gifts. Just a way to show appreciation. My only goal is that they know someone likes the job they are doing and puts his money where his mouth is. For my clerks at WWTS and the call center, enjoy the tip, you deserve it. Thank you for the job well done. Hopefully the respect is mutual.

Hope that clears the air.

No need to explain yourself. A very classy thing to do. If only others would follow your lead.

Okay, how I do i say this? Dont want to offend anyone here but, obviously very few have thought this out from a manager's perspective. It was a great gesture to toke out the clerks but if I was running that store or any store I would not be letting my clerks and / or charters/managers accept 'tips' period. Where does this end ? Do I have to toke out or excuse me if I do toke out will I catch that extra hook . I am not accusing anyone of anything but alot of you can see where this might lead. Once again, a class gesture with no larceny in mind, I understand . But the appearance of favortism or the lack thereof would be overwhelming to deal with. Call any major book (not that WWTS isnt) and ask their policy on this and you will see what a mess you have stepped into.

I checked with the manager first. They asked if I wanted to visit and take them out in person. Believe it or not, they do get toked occaisonally. But just like at a card table tipping the dealer, they still deal out legit cards. What you are suggesting is just not the way it works. If I call in, and that number is on hold for someone else, they get the hook, whether they tip or not. I have already done this at other books, and it was welcomed as a kind gesture for the employees. I never single out one employee, but all of them, even the call entire center. Just as it is in this case. I may get a thanks FROG, and then it is business as usual. I keep everything on the table and above board. I would not even consider attempting something like that, I can bargain over halves with managers, juice whatever or I can shop for lines, like I do double shift at times. I would never drag a clerk into surrendering their ethics for a hook. I go out of my way to protect them and treat them with respect. Why are you always yankin my chain Capt?
