You sign up for local cable modem services, and then you buy a wireless router (Linksys is one of the best...about $50)....Then you buy a wireless NIC card for your laptop, or if it's new it's probably built in.....you can also buy a USB adapter for your PC at home if you have more than one, or in a far off room

Buy a laptop with wireless-g. Most hotspots like the airport and most hotels are ~$10 per 24 hours. You simply use your credit card to buy a block of time.

I've had DSL and a wireless router for over two years. Nothing beats making a few wagers while sitting on the shi**er........

hey moe, although I'm usually up on technology, I haven't had the time to go this route. Exaclty how does this work? Do you just have a little dish or something on your house and pick up the internet on your laptop normally? Does it go out often??

I watched some Mariah Carey special on E! yesterday, and she had one of these little puppys near her too. It's like a laptop and a cell phone rolled into one small unit

It uses BlueTooth, you dont even expose the unit to make phone calls you just put this real tiny thing in your ear and it is wireless. I had a 2 hour convo with my Dad he is in Florida at the moment, he was passing the little Ear device part of it around to everyone I had'nt spoke to in a while, they all sounded like they were on a land line.

And I had the thing in my hands before I could browse the net and bring up AIM if I wanted there was a ton of other things it did. It will set you back a few ducketts though.
