Back Again Family. Horrid night last night. Yukoo its starts with Cardinals walking in the winning run & then the Yanks collapse the parlay. I'm laying off the Yanks until they find themselves or maybe they have & that winning streak was a fluke. On to tonight's card which I have looked over in great depth to help provide my insight.

Cardinalsvs.AstrosOv8 -113 : I love this play big time today. The reason why is that I easily see each team giving up at least 4runs here. Pettitte has been pitching somewhat decent in his last few starts ,but he isn't Roger & hasn't faced a 1-8 lineup like the Cards of late. And Carpenter is what baseball players call a winner this season. He does just enough to keep his team in contention for a win regardless of the games circumstances. His ERA isn't beautiful but that should help us out getting the over tonight. Expect Berkman to continue to make strides back to becoming an RBI machine tonight. Minute Maid Park can't keep this one under tonight.

Atlanta Braves -127 : Tim Hudson's price is too good to pass on. Braves have hit a tough stretch in the series in the Nation's capital, but Pirates can be a good medicine for that. The Pirates aren't as good as they played against the Marlins, so I believe that is why this price is so low for the Braves. No major injuries in the Atlanta squads lineup so they will be able to get enough run off Wells to get another win for Tim Hudson. His road record isn't what he wants it to be , but he has pitched great in his only two starts vs the Pirates giving up only 3runs.

Seattle Mariners -150 : Bottomline here is the fact that Tampa Bay just isn't a road team at all. Add that to the fact that Sele has been straight money in his last 3 outings giving up only 2 earned runs. Mariners are probably playing their best ball of the season now & as you can see with Oakland ; the Drays are great with helping to put W's in the win column. Unfortunately for Fossum the Drays are on the road because he has been excellent vs the M's with an under 2 ERA. But back to the main point the Drays are just not a road team. 3-21 just plain stinks.

San Diego Padres -170 : High price vs the streaking Cubbies, but Eaton's 7-1 record isn't a mirage. Tonight he goes for his 7th straight decision for a victory & his team needs him after losing its last two games. The Chicago club has Mitre on the mound who has 1 career win vs the Pads. I don't think he has faced a Pads squad with their lineup intact to the point that it is now. After being shutdown last night I look for the home team to lead this game from start to finish.
