I was told this a few years back and it has stuck.
Don't wager on bad teams.
They will find a way to beat themselves and beat you.
Maybe it's the coaches, maybe the players or maybe both. But I know this, betting on bad teams will shrink your bankroll.

Check out Bucsfan's thread on Tampa Bay and you'll get an idea of what I mean.
In no way am I discrediting Bucsfan. He's the best and I follow him on most every play. But believe me, if you go back and check your records, you'll see how often bad teams cost you in the long run.

i agree with most of your post, stilwell, but in some cases (tampa fits this), some "bad teams" are very good at home.

But, you are correct, for the most part i prefer to wager on winning teams who have a "winners attitude and swagger"

Sometimes you have to take a chance in the right spot that the good team will not play good or the bad team has an advantage and you have to play it then...

Getting plus odds when it should not be will help the bankroll in the longrun....

I agree with playing the good teams very sound strategy....
