hello fezzik. your quite an enigma popping in and out as you do and wearing funny disguises on the travel chanell.lol. i tried to meet you at the stardust handicapping contest last year. i believe it was the weekend of sept 11-13th and you went against david stratton? its my favorite part of the trip catching the show. i laugh my ass off when the second it ends hundreds of clueless desperate bettors rush the podium to get the free winners! lmfao.i was there with friends and we go every year. i made an attempt to speak to you and nearly made it but the big sweaty men swept me away.im 5ft2 and no match for any of them. but i had a nice talk with dave stratton and a better one with ken white. will you be in the competition this year and if so when? i admire your career. i was fascinated when john kelly asked you how you got started.maybe you can relate the story here for those who dont know? i hope to arrive earlier this fall and talk with you then.i have alot of questions for you.lol.be well fezzik.~RG

Fez, where the hell did you find O's at 70-1??? I liked the bet but found lots of 12-1 and 15-1 out there, nothing even close to 70! I can't believe any team would be that high to win a division when they only have to beat out 4 other teams, even if its the Yanks and Red Sox.

First time since 1994 that every team in a division (NL East) is above 500 this late in the season.

whats wrong with the marlins?
Going by past history, nothing. The Marlins for some reason stink it up early in the year and then turn it up after the all-star break.

moved way to slow and i kept waiting to see him buy half of las vegas...then the movie ends with him mumbling in a dirty bathroom? also, that kathrine hepburn was so annoying it was almost unwatchable whenever she was on.

A bit rash to get excited about a team with little depth and only a .544 win percentage, but hey hope springs eternal in baseball. Why not get hyped about up the Phils, only a game out and boy were they terrible to start the year!

I too would like to know where Fezz got 70-1 on the Birds. As far as the Nationals ticket, you can keep it. It will be toilet paper when the season ends.

Today is the latest date in the season since 1933 that a team from Washington has been in first place.

Fezzik, I hate to tell you this, but my computer says that Washington is still only about a 20-1 shot to win the NL East. Their main problem is that there are FOUR good teams in the league; chances are, at least one of them will play well enough to crack 90+ wins. I don't think Washington gets there; my O/U on them is 80 wins.

As for the Orioles, they have a live chance - fair odds is about 7-2. I'd make the Red Sox the 5-4 favorite; the Yankees are about a 2-1 shot at this point. Still very much a three way race.

Just a theoretical question, say the Nats made it to the World Series and before Game 1 they had rioting in DC next to RFK (not a stretch at all considering the neighborhood). So the Nats moved the game to good ole Olympic Stadium. How many people would show up? Would any of them be rooting for the Nats?
