Locks of the Millenium: 5-0
Underdogs: 2-2

Lock of the Millenium #6

Alabama +275
Tulane -315

Green Wave are the #1 ranked team in the country and they start one of the best overall player in the country, Micah Owings. This guy plays in the field and pitches, and he's the real deal. Alabama I thought would counter with their ace All American who threw on Friday, and I was ready play Alabama if they started him, but they are countering with their #4 starter their mid-week guy who has only started 2 games this year. I've seen Alabama play 4 games this year in person, and they are very unimpressive for an SEC team. I think Tulane wins this game 85 times out of 100. Tulane's at home, Bama is bad road team, their bullpen is spent, Tulane as a full staff ready to win this game and move on, this makes it our Lock of the Millenium #6. Remember to exercise caution, it's a marathon not a sprint.

2pm Plays
Arkansas +310
Texas -350

Recommended Play: No Play
Action Junkies Lean: Arkansas +310, Strictly on Value

With Texas' home field advantage at one of the best college stadiums in the country, wealth of post-season experience, and legendary coach this team should find some kind of a way to win this game. It would be shocking to not see yearly Omaha-bound Texas advance out of their own home regional, but the price tag is too steep at -300. Arkansas is an SEC battle-tested team that has been ranked in the teens all year long. Arkansas will start an experienced senior on 2 days rest which he has done all year long. Texas will throw their mid-week freshman starter who has been absolutely dominant over smaller schools, and has yet to start on 2 days rest or face a big school like Arkansas. Texas wins this game, in this exact situation 6 times out of 10. Does that warrant a -300 line? No, Arkansas is the value play but as they say "Don't mess with Texas." I'm making a 1 unit play on Arkansas.

Box, Glad to see your early post. Was just about to pull the trigger on Tulane as line is moving on up as we speak.

I would like your input on the Rice/Lsu game. I have already made a small play on Rice and am considering a strong play on them. I think the situation sets up nice for them and there is value in the +money dog. Line seems to be begging for LSU money, doesnt it?

Thanks in advance for your help and input.

100% agree on EVERYTHING you said on the top 2 plays

the Ark/texass comment - DEAD ON - Value play is on Ark - but if Texass gets hot and rolls - look out - the game could get major league ugly really fast

Impressive run, Box. I followed you the other day on Tenn and Clemson. I really want to jump on here, but at -332 it's just too much juice for me. I did put one unit on the Arkies because of the value.

Best of luck. I hope you go undefeated through the CWS.

I understand. It's a little bit of a different ball game in college than MLB. A -300 line in NCAA baseball is more like a -150 line in MLB to me.

Glad to help, DEAC.

LSU goes in 30 minutes Box--I like the matchups and think Rice will get more done offensively than LSU will today. If they can cash in their scoring chances, I think they win this one.

Puzzies at my book will only allow parlays on the games which have lines of -200 or less. Been slapping the azzes with College parlays so guess they have had enough....

This LSU/Rice game seems pretty dead on. Couple of solid starters, both teams will have bullpens ready to go. You're paying the juice on LSU for home field advantage. I only got a 15 min look at it, I wasnt expecting them to have lines up for this game so I didnt even research it too much.

If LSU wins this game, next game will be value if they put lines up for it, because one of LSU's best starters only threw 50 pitches in his start on Friday, which is like a bullpen session, and he'll be ready to go tonight. Good luck whatever you decide.

Let me put it this way, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if LSU comes back to win the entire regional and take the next two. College players have a hard time hitting lefties, and Clay Dirks of LSU is one of the best lefties in the country.
Their hitting has been suspect at times, and thats the only thing that worries me about LSU. Rice is a 2 seed for a reason. I think LSU wins this game more times than not. But Rice isnt chopped liver, and they are starting a good pitcher.

Box, that was kinda if the way I was thinking. I think Rice goes all out here. Pitching seems pretty even but I favor Rice in the scoring department. Rice should be thinking this game is their best shot. Wish me luck.

I don't think pitching is even, LSU has the edge here. They can even bring their #2 starter out of the pen and then start him if they need to. If they don't win this game there is no next game. They'll bring out every player they have to, where Rice might save some guys if they fall behind for next game. Factor in home field advantage for LSU, the fact that theyve been the better team all year long, and I think you should see an LSU victory in this one. But their hitting is too suspect for me. I'm off of it, and I hate LSU, so I'm definitely rooting you on. Lets go Owls! :103631605

Well, Box all for naught with the LSU discussion. Went back to hit Rice pretty hard and game was off the board. They started at 1:45 insteqad of 2pm as posted at my book. Wonder if I saved or lost money as a result. Guess we will see. Keep up the good work and thanks for your help...I really appreciate it.
